I can't wait to watch the summer league games sunday. I honestly think barring injuries the cavs make the playoffs this year

Ill give them a 10% chance.

They were in contention for the 8th seed after the all star break before they went in tank mode. They sat kyrie with an "injury" and av was out 41 games a healthy and better kyrie Irving with hopefully 2 solid rookies and a healthy av could definitely make at least the 8th seed

I'd rather one more lottery year. But they are getting closer.

I could see anywhere from 8-13 at this point honestly. I think we're better than Charlotte and Detroit.

Brooklyn, Washington, and Toronto all improved more than the Cavs did this offseason in my opinion. Who knows how far Orlando and Atlanta will drop off (probably a ton and not so much, but it's too early to tell).

I'd say Miami, Chicago, Brooklyn, New York, Boston, Indiana, Philly are all definitely ahead of us. Atlanta probably still is, and then a handful of other teams are right there with us.

Not a playoff team IMO. We'll beat playoff teams regularly, but I don't think we can put together a good enough record in an improved East. You never know though, Kyrie is a legit superstar and superstars are capable of taking teams to the playoffs that probably shouldn't be there.

Need to see how good Waiters is first.

Just saying that the Cavs weren't a playoff team last year, and the only guy they really added to the mix was Waiters. For them to make the playoffs, they need Waiters to be a stud

Or an improved kyrie and tt and a healthy av. I really think kyrie is gonna average close to 23-24 a game. Just look what he did against team USA. Add in waiters and say he averages 15 a game and we don't have Jameson chucking shit up all the time anymore.

Me too it's looking like we would be giving up picks and Andy

I'm ok with that IF Bynum
    Agrees to resign. I'm
Guessing that'd be part of it?

He said he would be willing to sign an extension with Cleveland
  • Midstate01
I'd prefer it's signed before he's traded. Or traded with a promise to resign!

If waiters turns out to be a 18-20 point guy this team could be very scary 2 years from now.

The best exchange from the Kyrie video:

Kyrie - You have to guard
    Kobe - So
    Kyrie You have to guard
    Kobe - So
Kyrie - You're not going to lock me up
    Kobe - Are you serious?
Kyrie - You're not going to lock me up, its over
  • Midstate01
Kobe would win. But Irving would make him work. Kobe is just too strong for kyrie. But you gotta love that he doesn't back down.

Rumor: Dwight to Lakers in three-team trade?

Alex Kennedy of Hoopsworld.com reports that the Magic are considering a trade sending Dwight Howard to the Lakers in exchange for a package of players, draft picks and salary cap relief, while Andrew Bynum would land with the Cavaliers.

This is still firmly in the 'rumor' stage, but it's intriguing since the Cavs have a ton of draft picks stockpiled, and Bynum apparently included them on his "short list" of places he'd agree to an extension. Devin Ebanks is reportedly delaying signing his contract in case he's included in a trade, but otherwise there are no substantive details to report.

DEAL... Irving, Waiters, TT, Bynum, Gee? I'm game! :D
  • Midstate01
I like it but ONLY if it's for andy and picks. Not giving up TT or waiters.

Waiters and Zeller can't be traded since they signed their rookie deals until next January, so they're not going anywhere..

And I love TT more than anybody on this board probably, but you're crazy if you wouldn't part with him for a legit center, who is arguably the best in the game.

I wouldn't trade Andy, TT, and picks. No way That's way too much.

Yeah you do like him the most. Kept me from jumping off the 480 bridge when we drafted him.
