Agreed, but if he could pull that off with the current Cavs roster, i would be pretty thrilled.Commander of Awesome;1013570 wrote:I think 20 and 7 is high expectations. -

Good move for New Orleans, they needed talent and a lot of it. As for the Clippers, you now have CP3, BG and Jordan as your Core, but they are in dire need of some wings and just gave up their best scorer.chicago510;1014974 wrote:CP3 to the LAC finally.
NO gets: Gordon, Kaman, Aminu, 1st rounder
LAC gets: CP3 and 2 2nd rounders
Going to be super awkward with CP3 in Staples but on the OTHER team... -

They picked up Caron Butler i believe. Not sure hwo much he has left in the tank though.robj55;1014986 wrote:Good move for New Orleans, they needed talent and a lot of it. Edit. And Billups, but same could be said for him and the amount he has left in em. At the least he has enough to be a very solid backup to CP3 -
chicago510The LAC now have CP3, Bledsoe, Billups and Mo Williams. They may need to trade a PG or two for some wings.
Going to be some sick CP3-Griffin pick and rolls though -
Hb31187Yeah, itll be like Cp3 to Chandler on steroids lol

Pick6glad CP3 ended up going to the Clippers rather than then Lakers, Knicks, or Celtics.

Wouldnt be too happy if i were you until he signs an extensionPick6;1015019 wrote:glad CP3 ended up going to the Clippers rather than then Lakers, Knicks, or Celtics. -
wildcats20Soooooooo David Stern just made this ONLY about CP3 NOT going to the Lakers. Had NOTHING to do with money or anything else.

Commander of AwesomeClippers got raped. Granted two different scenarios but it pisses me off that the Cavs didn't trade rape a team for Jabron Lames. I dont fault the FO at the time (legit title contenders, back to back 60 win seasons, etc...) but man. Hard not to play the "what if" game.

Hb31187Who do they have to back up Kyrie?
-
Commander of AwesomeReally surprised by that move. I think we should have kept him for trade bait. We're paying him anyways, why not keep him around.

Commander of AwesomeAm I missing something, am I over valuing Eric Bledsoe? I think the Clippers were better off not making this trade. I know CP3 is amazing, top 5 player and all but I liked the team they had, plus with a top 8 probably pick in next yrs draft, I think they would have been better off staying put. I think they gave up a lot (Eric Gordon is probably a top 25 player, a productive big which are worth their weight in gold in the NBA, granted he has injury issues but what big not named Howard doesn't?, Aminu [top 10 pick in last yrs draft]) for CP3 who has issues staying healthy. By most accounts all or most of his meniscus is gone in the one knee. I would have serious concern over him staying healthy as well. Before the trade I'd say the clippers were a top 4/5 team in the west. I think they got better at the 1 (which is arguably their deepest position) and worse at the 2 and 5 spot while screwing getting rid of their best building block in the process. It will sell tickets however which seems to be all that matters in LA as they have a top 5 worse fan base in all of sports.

lol no he can't. He's a 10 min a game guy (on a bad team), he wouldn't know what defense/a decent pass was if it smacked him in the face.wildcats20;1015173 wrote:Also have Boobie, he can run the point too. -

Pick6Im a fan of Boobie. It slips a lot of peoples minds, but he was the #2 guy when we made it to the finals.

I kinda Agree with you. Bledsoe will be very serviceable and is still very young. And with how much they gave up for CP3 its almost too much. Especially if cp3 gets hurt or doesnt sign long term with the Clippers, then theyre completely fuckedCommander of Awesome;1015177 wrote:Am I missing something, am I over valuing Eric Bledsoe? oh god no, they'll be in contention for number one overall pick. I was pointing out on a bad team mentioning he wouldn't even make the Celtics roster, let alone see PT.wildcats20;1015186 wrote:And the Cavs are a good team?

He's good playing alongside someone that can command double teams. The Cavs are a bad fit for him.Pick6;1015200 wrote:Im a fan of Boobie. It slips a lot of peoples minds, but he was the #2 guy when we made it to the finals.
This is a great trade for the LAC. They are set at the 1, 4 and 5. Have decent depth at the 2 and will likely try to make another move. -
Hb31187
Idk if id call Jordan being set at the 5. Hes still unproven and raw, not to mention they have no good back up for either Griffin or Jordan(unless you're counting Thompkins or Cook as being halfway decent)thedynasty1998;1015221 wrote:He's good playing alongside someone that can command double teams. Of course dynasty considers them set at 5 with Jordan, because he considers Randy Foye and Travis Leslie decent depth at the 2 LOLHb31187;1015227 wrote:Idk if id call Jordan being set at the 5. \
