NFL Week 8 - New England Patriots (5-1) at Pittsburgh Steelers (5-2)
-
killer_ewokI think after watching both teams play this season that it's fair to say....at this point....the Steelers are a better football team than the Browns. That's not an overwhelming bias there...that's reality.
But anyways....back to Pittsburgh-New England. -

It's not college football, bozo.DeyDurkie5;944900 wrote:you literally contradicted yourself during that entire ramble. Regardless, both are 0-1 in the afc north(you are what your record says you are)
The division record only comes into play if the teams are tied in overall record.
Steelers are 5-2, Browns 3-3
That's not even. -

Big time matchup in the AFC. Actually two big AFC showdowns at Heinz Field in the next two weeks. -
Commander of AwesomeI'm officially the second biggest Pats fan on this board this sunday. Hope they embarrass them in the same fashion that the pats pwned them last season.

NonHeading dahn to Heinz Field about 11 am
Final thoughts?
I think in this instance the experts know what they're talking about. Bad matchup for the Steelers. It's even worse now that Timmons had to move to outside linebacker because he's not able to cover as much. I can't see Foote and/or Farrior staying with the Patriots' tight ends.
Steelers best chance is to possess the ball and keep Brady off the field. They need to mix in Redman and Moore and not just run Mendenhall over and over.
Steelers will be amped up for this game, in search of some credibility this season...but emotion won't beat execution.
Patriots 31
Steelers 24 -
NonWard out
Farrior out
Ward probably not a big loss at this point. Stevenson Sylvester aka "Sly" will get his chance with Farrior out. -
End of LineHere we go Steelers!
-
AutomatikLets hold on! This will be a big W!
-
AutomatikAwwww Tom Terrific looks sad.
-
THE4RINGZIt's not over.
-
wes_mantoothIf new England has an off day on offense....they are done. They can't rely on that horrible defense for anything. Right now, the steelers may be the best of weak conference.
-
THE4RINGZThat sack hurts.
-
THE4RINGZThrow the fucking ball away Ben.
-
THE4RINGZGive them the fucking safety and let's go.
-
Tiger2003Great win for the Steelers!! Here come the Ravens!!
#payback -
Tiger2003Hopefully Woodley can play next week!
-
THE4RINGZPhil Simms on the Safety call, continuing to say Troy's punching of the ball was illegal. Once again Phil, you can suck my cock you stupid motherfucker.

I hate Phil, but isn't there some rule where it can't be advanced like that? -
ts1227
Since PIT didn't recover, it technically wasn't advanced.wes_mantooth;951327 wrote:I hate Phil, but isn't there some rule where it can't be advanced like that?
I didn't see it, so I don't know if he deliberately hit it or not. -
THE4RINGZThe rule applies to offensive players. Is my understanding.
