What credibility do you have if you always think the team you hate sucks even when they're good?
I guarantee you didn't think the Steelers would make the Super Bowl last year...or in 2008...or in 2005... -
Raw Dawgin' it
I think Bryant Austin and Witten are better than brown and sanders. Even if the pats don't stop them every drive, i think the NE will have an easier time scoring than the Pitt offense. I think it'll be a high scoring game (Thought the same thing about dallas though), but you never know.killer_ewok;944639 wrote:I have little doubt that Brady will carve up the D. I just think that New England's pass defense has been exposed by aerial attacks this year. Yeah, they kept Dallas in check but the Cowboys also kept the explosive Pats' O in check for the most part too. It happens.
The Steelers should light up New England's secondary but I don't think it will be enough. Stopping Wallace from catching a long bomb is much easier said than done. I think Mewelde Moore could have a nice game catching a few passes out of the backfield if he is ready to go this week.
Also think the Patriots receiving core is much more versatile than than pitts. NE's defense may not be as good, but NE has too many weapons for pitt to cover. I don't think pitt has the same fire power and if NE can stop the dallas offense they can stop this one. -
killer_ewok38-30 New England is my prediction. I think Antonio Brown may finally have a breakout game building on last week's performance.
-
I Wear PantsNE's secondary is terrible. If they don't play really well the Steeler receivers could shred them up. I could see this being a shootout.

I don't think they're the favorite this year.
But to say they suck and have no shot at the playoffs when they're 2-2 is ridiculous for a team that has made the playoffs and Super Bowl quite often recently -

you are retarded non, all there is too it. How can you say that I probably thought they wouldn't win, but I can't say that you probably thought they would win? Seriously, are you rock? Or related to rock? that is the only explantion for your retardednessNon;944715 wrote:Not true at all.

Your logic is I hate the Steelers so they suck. They won't do well because I hate them and don't want them to do well.DeyDurkie5;944722 wrote:you are retarded non, all there is too it. Whether I have some confidence or overconfidence it's still based more on their recent success. It's based on actual football rather than just a pure hatrid. -

thavoicePats have two weeks to pick apart the steelers Offense and defense and come up with a great game plan. In the past it would be best to just thro it and throw it often like NE has done before, but the steelers run defense is not as good. This will play into the steelers hands I think as I bet they try to run it more, and that in turn will keep the scoring down.
Stilll think the pats win this one like 28-24. -
Raw Dawgin' it
The patriots haven't been a strong running team since corey dilon. With Brady and the receivers NE has they won't get cute and try to run all over them, they don't need to. Pitt doesn't have the man power to contain the patriots receiving corethavoice;944778 wrote:Pats have two weeks to pick apart the steelers Offense and defense and come up with a great game plan. Dallas receivers really tore them up didn't they? oh wait...I Wear Pants;944709 wrote:NE's secondary is terrible. If they don't play really well the Steeler receivers could shred them up. I could see this being a shootout. -
Heretic
And Brady has the short-pass/quick-read accuracy where you don't need a running game. I remember a few years back (the year the Steelers went from Stewart to Maddox), Brady did next to nothing but short reads, bubble screens and the like. You don't need a running game when you're getting 4-7 yards per pass on those quick hits. He and Rich Gannon did that back-to-back that year.Raw Dawgin' it;944812 wrote:The patriots haven't been a strong running team since corey dilon. New England is a marquee match-up for a team. Dallas has Tony Romo. Romo + marquee match-up = disaster for Dallas.Raw Dawgin' it;944813 wrote:Dallas receivers really tore them up didn't they? oh wait... -

You don't have to love the Steelers to realize they just came off an AFC Championship season and are 5-2 this year. Still have good coaches. Many good players. Franchise QB. And so on.DeyDurkie5;944752 wrote:and your logic is I love the steelers, so they will be awesome. It's the same ****, rock. That's not my love for the Steelers. It's accurate football knowledge.
I hate the Browns and they suck. I love the Steelers and they're good.
That's just the truth. Sorry. Face the music. -

Adjustments? They are 32nd in the league against the pass. -

The Steelers passing game has gradually come on.killer_ewok;944853 wrote:Adjustments? They are 32nd in the league against the pass.
Better pass protection since Max Starks came back and Ben and the receivers/tight ends are finding some chemistry. -
DeyDurkie5
so 3-3 equals suck? again, showing your true knowledge. you are about as biased as they come, but yet you act like you are the gift of knowledge. The steelers have squeeked by against shit teams, just as the browns have. Don't try and play them up non. Barely beating the colts, barely beating the jaguars, and barely beating the cardinals while getting spanked by the ravens does not equal great. They are a little above average, rockNon;944849 wrote:You don't have to love the Steelers to realize they just came off an AFC Championship season and are 5-2 this year. Still have good coaches. Yes. That's a bad 3-3 team and you know it. McCoy has looked terrible. Far worse than expected.DeyDurkie5;944862 wrote:so 3-3 equals suck?
Steelers 5-2 and much more likely to contend for a playoff spot and be a factor than the Browns. Again. -
Raw Dawgin' it
Clearly they're getting better. In their last 3 games they shut down dallas and the jets and Campbell only threw for 1 td even though he had over 300 yards passing. I'm not saying their secondary is great, but it's by no means a guarantee the steelers will be able to have their way with the passing game.killer_ewok;944853 wrote:Adjustments? thavoice
True, but they line up and try to run it more against the Jets I think. Dont know if their rushing attempts were up that game but I bet they had a higher precentage of running attempts in that first half than they did the other games.Raw Dawgin' it;944812 wrote:The patriots haven't been a strong running team since corey dilon. NE always touts how their game plan changes so often as they pick on the weakest link.
What really sucks though with this Pats team is the emergence of the TE's. They can line up with them and basically just pick the defense apart on what they are giving them. -
DeyDurkie5
oh really..well the browns and steelers are both 0-1 in the division so it looks like we have an equal chance. I really, really hope the steelers dont win the afc north and fail to get a wildcard. Seriously would shit on your face.Non;944876 wrote:Yes. That's a bad 3-3 team and you know it. McCoy has looked terrible. Far worse than expected.

thavoiceYou are what your record says you are. 3-3 for the Clowns, 5-2 for the steelers. The schedules dont matter becuase they are all professional football players and teams. It isnt like in college when the powerhouse plays a DI -AA in state school who has zero players that could actually make your roster.
Yeah, steelers squeaked by a couple of teams. So what. They laid an egg in the first game no doubt, but it is the NFL. How could one explain getting hammered by the Ratbirds, then beat a Jags team who in turn beat the ravens?
Fact of the matter is this. The browns and steelers will end up playing pretty much the same schedule sans two games. Home and away is difference and many times when you play a team matters too but hey, none of that can be exactly perfect for every team.
I know browns fans are giddy at being .500 after 6 games. Many believe they should be 4-2 as they should have beaten the Bengals, but I can come back and say they shoulda been beaten by the Phins. It evens out. -
DeyDurkie5
you literally contradicted yourself during that entire ramble.
