More tevez rumors
Shortly after his transfer from Manchester City to Corinthians collapsed and his national team got eliminated from Copa America, Carlos Tevez decided to go on vacations with his family to the Italian island of Sardinia and destiny, coincidence or whatever you want to call it, put him face to face with Internazionale director Marco Branca.
Speculations of a move to Inter which already existed have now intensified after the two men were spot by the cameras of Italian TV company Mediaset.
It is still unclear what will be Tevez destination after he made clear he is not returning to Manchester City. If there is one certainty in this world is that we will hear a lot more rumors around the talented striker. -
ohiobucks1Bojan to Roma - Done Deal
We have been reporting here on Rumor Central that the minute Alexis Sanchez joined Barcelona, Bojan Krkic would be given the liberty to leave the Catalan club and sign for AS Roma.
That is exactly what will happen as the young striker is expected to arrive in the Italian capital to go through all the formalities ahead of his transfer reports Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport and Barcelona confirms the $17 million transfer on its official website.
Bojan has been a target for new AS Roma manager Luis Enrique who has joined the club after coaching Barcelona B (the development team which plays in Spain's lower leagues). -
ohiobucks1Chelsea's final bid for Modric
Lets hope they take it....
Chelsea seems to be serious about its intention to buy Luka Modric from Tottenham and the Blues are ready to make another offer to get the Croatian midfielder.
Spurs have rejected two previous offers of $36 and $44 million respectively and Chelsea would be ready to make another bid of $57 million which should be the last one, according to Footy Bunker.
Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has insisted Modric is not for sale. It is easy to understand Redknapp as Modric is key to his midfield and selling him to a city rival will not make him or Spurs fans happy. -
ohiobucks1For Laley---More Cesc Rumors / Crap
People who look for another hint to try to find out where Cesc Fabregas will play this season will love this. The Spanish midfielder will not be part of the Arsenal contingent that flies to Germany on Friday to continue with the preseason activities.
According to The Independent, negotiations with Barcelona would be only half the reason as there is also a hamstring problem Fabregas has been carrying and he would be unable to play even if there were no chances of a transfer out of Arsenal.
This soap opera has the potential to drag on right until the end of the summer's transfer window. -
ohiobucks1And Finally Pavel Pardo to MLS
UPDATE: A Fire spokesman denies that former Mexican national team star Pavel Pardo has officially signed with the club, Jack McCarthy of the Chicago Tribune reports.
However, the flack also refused to comment when asked if negotiations are taking place with Pardo or his reps, suggesting that a deal is in fact in the works.
--
Pardo himself confirmed that an agreement has been reached with the MLS club, according to one source who spoke with the longtime Club América star. The midfielder, who turns 35 next week, represented El Tri 148 times between 1996 and 2009. He could be introduced by the Fire within the next few days.
"My source says the same thing," confirms ESPN Deportes' John Sutcliffe. -

I don't have FIFA '11... Still rocking FIFA '10 lol.
I can;t wait for FIFA '12 to come out though, it is what '11 should have been, or so it seems. I don't know why I never bought '11, I've had the itch to do so the last few weeks but keep talking myself out of it since '12 will be out in a bit. -
AutomatikYeah '10 was flat out amazing. '11 was nothing special.
We should all get FIFA 12 and get it going. I used to be strictly 360, but switched to the dark side and never looked back. I do miss it sometimes though. -
ohiobucks1Rumors of the day
Nani on the move?
Could Manchester United part ways with Portuguese speedster Nani?
In his latest piece for SI.com, Gabriel Marcotti notes that Nani was often benched toward the end of last season after a solid start, and figures that there's a 30 percent chance the winger, 24, will leave the Premier League champs before the summer transfer window closes.
"With the addition of Ashley Young and a fit Antonio Valencia, it's hard to see the situation getting much better," he writes. "Nani is very much a sellable asset and should the club pick up another midfielder, he could be on his way." -
ohiobucks1Beckham : "No Spurs"
David Beckham wil not be signing with Tottenham Hotspur when his contract with the Galaxy expires at the end of the year.
"I am 36 and still feel good and fresh but I can't see it happening," Beckham said of a return to England's Premier League, according to the U.K.'s Daily Express. "The Tottenham thing didn't happen for a reason. I only want to be known as a Manchester United player and that's the way it will stay."
The former England captain spent the last MLS offseason training at White Hart Lane, and Spurs boss Harry Redknapp admitted having interest in signing the midfielder next January. Now, the smart money is on Beckham extending his stay in North America. -
ohiobucks1More Laley Cesc info
UPDATE: Barcelona's VP and football director travelled to London Friday to renew negotiations with Arsenal for Cesc Fabregas, the Guardian's Sid Lowe reports.
Lowe describes communication between the clubs as "reasonably fluid," although he cautions that significant differences remain. But now that Barca has landed top summer recruit Alexis Sanchez, they appear ready to foucus on Fabregas.
The Spaniards will have to act quickly and decisively. According to the report, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger wants a swift resolution and will reject any bid late in the transfer window, or significantly below $65 million.

ohiobucks1Sad news for the Blues
yeah my headlines are getting catchier
UPDATE: Spurs manager Harry Redknapp insists that Luka Modric isn't for sale -- but that hasn't stopped him from telling Chelsea that upping the offer to the $60 million range wouldn't be enough even if he was.
"If we were looking to sell him, it wouldn't meet my valuation," Redknapp told the Guardian. "I think he is worth an awful lot more money than that."

MulvaModric isn't worth anywhere near $60 mil. The transfer market is so inflated its absurd.
I think Roma is setting up to have a good year in Serie A. A lot of attacking power with Bojan, Totti, Vucinic, and De Rossi. Then they added Heinze, and if they finish the Stekelenburg move and get a top notch keeper too they could make some noise. Probably not to Milan or Inter's level, but I would peg them 3rd right now ahead of Napoli and Juventus. -

De Rossi will probably be gone... I agree about Modric, but I want Chelsea to get him so I dont care how much they spend, he is world class -

ohiobucks1Today's tidbits
Huston Hero: Holden
Bolton MVP Stuart Holden hopes to return to the Houston Dynamo before the end of his career, according to Sky Sports and other outlets.
Holden left MLS for the Premier League in early 2010, but was back in his hometown last week for a friendly between the clubs.
"I watch every [Dynamo] match online at two in the morning," says the 25-year-old U.S. national team midfielder, who is still rehabilitating a serious knee injury suffered in March and did not play in the match. "I'd love to go back and play in Houston at some point down the line."
That point won't be soon. Holden, a rising star in England, is under contract with Bolton until 2013. After that, though, don't be shocked to see the Dynamo offer Landon Donovan-type money to make an in-his-prime Holden the frontman for the new downtown stadium it opens next year. -
ohiobucks1Chelsea get their man...kinda
Palermo star Javier Pastore is most likely headed to Chelsea, if the Serie A club's VP is to be believed.
"It's very probable that Pastore will go to Chelsea, but I think there are other top level teams who are after the player," Guglielmo Micciche told Radio Sportiva, according to the Sunday Mirror. Palermo has received a $65 million offer for the 22-year-old although the bidder remains unknown.
Pastore's other suitors reportedly include Manchester City, Real Madrid, Barcelona, AC Milan, Roma and Inter Milan. -
ohiobucks1You want Tevez? You gotta pay.
UPDATE: If Inter Milan is to sign Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez, he will come at a price of over $80 million.
That's about $15 million more more than City would have accepted from Brazilian club Corinthians before negotiations broke down for other reasons last week. According to the Sunday Mirror, the Premier Leaguers lowered their initial asking price on compassionate grounds; Tevez wanted to return to South America to be closer to his wife and daughters.
Real Madrid and Juventus are also reportedly interested in the Argentine.

That statement is almost crazier than paying $80 million for Tevez. -

why do you say that? Tevez doesn't do anything when he is in. Average speed, decent touch. decent finishing. Below average strength. Overall, Average-Below Average.
