I think he's just saying he played center this year at OSU, so it's hard to judge how he'll translate because we didn't see him in his natural position. -

thats probably what he meant -
Y-Town SteelhoundI feel like Sullinger compares more to Paul Milsap/Carlos Boozer than Kevin Love.

To answer the question, no, I would not take him back. He's the best player in the league, but he's an epic douche.
Agreed. After what we found out after he left, no way I'd want him back. -

Yeah or maybe like a Charles Barkley...except not a drunkin dumbass. -
thedynasty1998Barkley was very athletic.
I compare him to Zach Randolph. Doesn't get off the ground buy has great footwork, good touch, great hands and uses his body. I still think Sully has plenty of room to mature physically so I could see him really getting stronger and becoming even more effective. -
WooballDid anyone else watch the NBA Draft Combine yesterday on ESPNU or NBAtv?
- Enes Kanter was the only one of the top prospects that participated. I thought he looked more athletic than what I had seen when watching his highlights from the World Select tournament from last year when he dropped 34 and 14 against Team USA. In that game he didn't play above the rim at all, but during yesterday's telecast Chad Ford stated that he was having some back issues and almost didn't even suit up to play in that game. He looks pretty legit, and I would not be opposed if the Cavs take him at #4, if he would last that long.
- I was able to watch the groups w/ the Power Forwards and some of the Small Forwards. I missed the 1's and 2's. W/ the 4's I wasn't overly impressed with anyone from that group, at least not for the Cavs to take with 1 of their first 2 picks. Faried from Morehead St. looks like he will have a nice long career as a rebounder/energy guy. He appears to be a pretty safe pick as a role player. I thought watching Jon Leuer (PF) that I wouldn't be opposed to the Cavs taking him early in the 2nd round. He has great ball skills for a guy his size and can shoot it from anywhere. He has a chance to be a productive guy. Jeremy Tyler (C) was a little more skilled that I expected. If he didn't receive god awful advice and had played his senior season in the states and went to college instead of playing in Tokyo he potentially could be a 1st round draft pick.
- D. Williams was emphatic in interviews that he is a 3. I went back and watched more highlights of this guy, and he definitely has some wing skills. He can put the ball on the floor for a couple dribbles and get to the hoop. His first step looks lightning quick, but he is usually being defended by a college 4, or a college 3 that has no chance to body him up. His shooting statistics were insane and he has the range on his J to play a wing. The biggest ? is can he handle the ball as a wing and defend 3's? I am not sold that he can, but if he can he could be dominate. The video just isn't there to prove that he has those skills.
Did anyone see Marshon Brooks? I heard that he impressed, maybe even enough that there would be multiple teams trying to buy back in to the late 1st round to select him. -

Now that you're back on this thread, can you please try and explain yourself as to why you thought you were educated when you said Kyrie was injury prone in high school?
Until you admit you lied and made it up, I don't think you have the right to call anyone else "fucking retarded". -

No way in hell he can be a perimeter defender in the NBA. Not a very good one anyways. -
SportsAndLadyI'm real high on Enes Kanter...most people are weary becuase of his european background...but the dude was committed to UK and was considered the gem of that class. He has an American style game..and Turks usually do okay in the league (Okur, turkuglo, and that rookie for the Bulls Asir I think his name is..he's played pretty well in his rookie season). I really like this guy...but maybe I'm a bit biased since I have a little turk in me
-
The BossYeah Kanter's availability at 4 may be dwindling if it ever existed to begin with.

Really didn't like the Irving/Kemba duo talk, but he does make a good point that makes me kind of want this duo now:
I still think JJ can be a serviceable starter at the 4..plus we get Varejao back. Can maybe get a C/PF with that trade exception.wrote:6. Irving - Kemba Walker
This option is also known as “The David Kahn Special.” All joking aside, this drafting of two PGs makes much more sense then the Rubio-Flynn debacle. Walker has shown a great ability to play off-ball making it possible for him to slide into a SG role. For much of UConn’s title run he spent more time coming off screens then running point and that seems to have worked out. Having Irving distributing the ball as the point guard, Walker could focus solely on scoring. There might not be a better situation to help Kemba reach his offensive potential. -

I like him too because he's not the typical Euro. He's not a finesse type as much as other Euro's. He'll go down in the block and mix it up plus he has good range. -
jpake1Kemba is 6'1 with shoes. Doesn't mean much, just saw his measurement posted. Decent pg height.

How in the hell was I trying to make myself sound educated by making a statement on a message board?
And just because you think you're special because you're going to be an ambulance chaser doesn't make you educated either BTW
The fact is....Irving is injury prone and IMO will end up just like Oden
If Gilbert was smart(which he isn't) he would go anywhere near Irving and would take Kanter or Williams at No.1 and Kemba at No.4 -

The guy has had one injury. I would hardly say that makes him injury prone -
Crimson streakWhat a fuckin retard

Wow, this is why people get on you so much. What an idiot.
I'm guessing Gilbert is pretty fucking smart, seeing as how he started his own billion dollar business. What the fuck have you done besides making yourself appear dumb as hell on the internet? -
Ty WebbOutside of drafting Lebron James.....what good basketball decision has Dan Gilbert ever made as owner of the Cavs???
I may be waiting awhile because he hasn't made any....he let one player dictate what he did as an owner which has fucked his franchise for the foreseeable future...
Dan Gilbert is a brilliant business man...but he is a shit basketball person -

Dan Gilbert is the owner you moron, Danny Ferry was the GM.
And Gilbert didn't draft LeBron, Gund did..
But if you want to get technical, we got the #1 and #4 picks this year by pulling off a great trade and we also have some good roster flexibility within the next 2 seasons.
It's obvious that you're anti Ohio, so STFU. -

Yes I'm anti-Ohio....that's why I root for the Reds,Blue Jackets,and Browns
If you think Gilbert doesn't have(or had under Ferry) final say on every personel decision...you're fulling yourself. Dude is a control freak
Thank you for correcting me on Gund drafting Lebron....it's now official that Gilbert has never made a good basketball decision as owner of the Cavs -

Mo Williams and Jamario Moon for the 1st pick in the NBA draft is a bad move? -

Has it been proven to have worked yet?? No so therefor you can't declare it a success yet....but with Gilberts track record....it will blow up in their faces -

His track record? Bron's decision had nothing to do with Dan Gilbert. What the hell are you talking about?
He was willing to take on Davis and his awful contract in order to acquire another pick. There arent many owners in the NBA that would be willing to do that. In order for the Cavs to compete they are going to have to do it through the draft, I cant think of a better start than 2 picks in the top 5.
