Carmelo Traded to the Knicks
-
wes_mantoothWith this and the Lebron circus last summer....really glad the players are pretty much running things now.....
-
bigdaddy2003Thank god it's over.

Hb31187Dunno what the big deal about players wanting to play in big markets. If you're going to be a FA you should be able to go sign wherever you want, you cant tell players where they can and cant play
-
karen lotzKnicks ended up giving up Mozgov too. Zeke is definitely advising Nolan.

yeah, but they are holding teams at ransom. I just think it has been going downhill for a few years now. The business side of it is complete turn off. -

Absolutely he is, Isiah even got the Knicks to bring back his greatest draft pick Renaldo Balkman. -
ernest_t_bassKnicks will = better.

Im with you, because I look at myself and being able to choose where I look. Only difference is that they are owned by a team, and in turn also the league. I cant just tell my company to trade me to NYC cause I wanna work there. I can quit my job and go move there fine, but I wouldnt be brought back into my company. That is the difference in real work and sports. -

+1 it is only to get worse. -
SportsAndLadyPeople are gonna love this team cuz the players weren't douches like Lebron about going to their new teams.

If he really wanted to though, he could of just waited til the end of the season and went and signed with NYK and the Nugs would of got next to nothing out of it. Itd be like a person relocating to a different branch of his or her job. He did the Nuggets a favor by telling them he basically wasnt gonna re sign, at least they got pieces out of his trade instead of gettin fucked over like Cleveland. -

It was only 1 player. -

This.
He told the Nuggs he wasn't resigning. It was up to them to make a deal happen or they would lose him in the off season and get NOTHING. -

Good point. It really just isnt possible to relate sports to real life lol.
I dont blame players at all for wanting to go to the bigger cities and make more money and all that. I just think you sign a contract, you play it out and dont bitch and moan (not that Carmelo did that, or even LeBron...but too many players do). It isnt like the NFL where they can cut you after the season, if you sign a contract, you honor it and then make a choice.
If you know like Melo, then you can tell the FO your going to be leaving so they can trade you. I like how he went about this. -
Skyhook79
Maybe next year but i don't see them being much better if at all the rest of this year. That is a lot of changes to get clicking in a short time.ernest_t_bass;686714 wrote:Knicks will = better. -

Till Deron Williams/Chris Paul join. -
ytownfootballWell, the blueprint for a bad PR move and how to fuck over your current team had been established, so there was little chance of him going that route.

True. -
wildcats20And where did the Warriors' picks come from??

That's what I meant..I figured someone else would go to NY after this season, no one is going to hate them though -

Yeah I was being too narrow minded and only thinking about right now. I'm not sure who it's going to be(won't be Chauncey though), but there will be a stud PG in the Garden next year. -

Wasnt it Deron Williams who just had the report that said he would sign with NYK if they got Amare (I know, but it just surfaced recently) or something? -
SportsAndLadyI think Deron will go to NY...Deron, Melo, and Amare seem like a great fit.
