Carmelo Traded to the Knicks

  • Trueblue23
The Knicks will still suck, Amare plays no defense and Melo plays even less. They'll put up big numbers, look good in November-March, then get shit on in the playoffs.

Bad trade for the Knicks IMO.

Last year it was LeBron and the Cavs, then Melo and the Nuggets, next will be Dwight Howard and Chris Paul.

I'm calling it right now though.. Dwight Howard will be a Laker when it's all said and done.

I think this was a bad move by the Knicks. Reason being is that they could have got Carmello in the summer time as a free agent without giving up anything. I know they might have panic about New Jersey getting him, but come on, we all know it was New York or no team. Is giving up your future in Felton, and first round draft picks, really worth it for a half of season? Especially when you could have had Carmello, Felton, Amare, and possibility Chris Paul in 2011-2012?

Nets won't be left out of the mix in there somewhere.

Also, ESPN's article is saying Minny is involved.

Didn't they say they would make an offer to the Nuggs for the 4 guys coming from NY?

Look at the Star Power in the East

    Boston: Pierce, Garnett, Allen, Rondon
    Miami: James, Wade, Bosh
    Chicago: Rose, Boozer, Noah
    New York: Stoudermire, Anthony, Billups

New Jersey's other trade with Denver

While the Nets and Knicks are currently about the last teams standing for Carmelo Anthony in a trade, it's looking like there's a possibility they could both still do a trade with Denver.

According to ESPN The Magazine's Chris Broussard via sources, if Anthony is traded to the Knicks, New Jersey is in talks with Denver to send two first-round picks in return for Timofey Mozgov (should he be included in the deal) and either Danilo Gallinari, Wilson Chandler or Raymond Felton.

"New Jersey-Denver trade for Knicks players would not be a three-way with New York; it would be two separate deals," he added.

As ESPN's Marc Stein noted Monday, Denver is looking to trade Felton should it get him in a Melo deal.

There's also been the suggestion that the Nets are doing this as a negotiating tactic against the Knicks.

"Nets want divided Knicks front office to think they'll acquire via Denver the players NY's reluctant to move for Melo. And hesitate on deal," tweeted Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports. "The Nets puncher's chance to get 'Melo is muck up the waters, create chaos and steal him at end. Prokhorov wants the star -- not spare parts.

So while this deal may be under discussion, it might come with ulterior motives.
So it's for the big and another one of the players. I knew I saw something about it.

I cant wait. I wonder if he "broke" the news on Conan. I dont know when Conan is taped or when the deal went down, but either way the interview should be pretty good given that we know how it played out just hours later!

If two days old is fresh....sure. Figured it was time to change it from the Steeler one since it's been a couple of weeks now.

He taped it this afternoon. Which is why he wasn't in Denver for practice.

    It's new to me :)

Side note though, outside the ugliest player in the history of sport (Ewing) this might be the best player the Knicks have had since Bernard King. Media is going to eat this shit up.

Interesting move and one I'm not sure will do anything this year...

I thought he was going to land in new jersey.

New York will send Anthony Randolph and Eddy Curry to Minnesota as part of the deal, according to the newspaper.
This is all becoming a really weird deal lol

You're not a dollar short too, are ya'? ;)

Ewing, Starks, Oakley, Mason, Charles Smith, Derek Harper, etc........those were better days. I've been suffering through some dark times for years now. I'm liking where things are headed now. It's about time.
