    Ok, this I can believe.

Yeah...that's better. For a while, I was scared this thread would get out-of-control off-topic after Wes' wild, unbelievable "lot of friends" BS. Good to see sanity restored.

I'd hate to get there and then have to pay $400+ for a ticket but the cheapest tickets I am finding now are in the $275 range.

If you're going to deal with scalpers, it all depends where you want to sit........pretty much like a ticket broker. IMO, you should be able to get in at $250 but you never know, you could find someone trying to unload their extra tickets at a cheaper price. I had 40 yard line seats in the lower level about 20 rows back from the field given to me by a vendor when the Steelers played the Pats for the first time in the AFC Championship game, sold them for $500 a piece, so I can't see upper tier seats being anymore than $250 tops. Just head down to the North Shore off of Gate A (boat docs for the Gateway Clipper), we call it "the auction", scalpers all over the place.

I would say you can do a lot better than that the day of the game.

I remember before the last AFC title game against Baltimore, there were tickets going for around $200. I think the economy was down a little bit then and that had something to do with it but I'd be surprised if you couldn't find tickets in the $175-225 range on gameday.

    overrated....but OK

He'll make a big effort to be on tv a lot....but will also make a big effort not to decide the game

Never realized this until I heard the talking heads mention it on the radio but the game Saturday was Mendenhalls first playoff game. I look for him to have a good game Sunday.

I just want Pittsburgh to get out fast.......first 2 drives.....FG/TD

    Jump on them
    Squish them
    Bury them

Pittsburgh likes to Tressel them....kills me

That couldn't be farther from the truth. Maybe when Cowher was there but not with Arians calling the offense and cutting Big Ben loose.......IMO, if anything, they've become a more agressive team on offense. Plus, Tomlin will take a gamble.

I am going to place some omeny on Pittsburgh. I feel like the Jets got lucky to beat the Colts, played a helluva game against the Pats and now the Steelers will be more prepared than both aforementioned Jets' opponents. I think the Jets' will have a letdown after beating the Pats so dominantly. Steelers are the better team and they will be at home, I don't see the Jets' winning. 24-16 Steelers

That's all I heard last week, too. Just sayin'. :)

Actually, I take that back. It was mostly "the Jets WON'T win."

Very true, but I think seeing the Pats get dialed by the Jets, the Steelers will be ready. The Pats are arrogant and they thought they'd walk all over the Jets, especially after the 45-3 spanking they put on them earlier in the season. The Steelers will be ready and you can take that to the bank! :)

A little off topic but was nice to see the Steeler players at the Pitt game tonight. Even Jeff Reed was there.

    Was he drunk?

Suisham was awful Saturday in warmups. Bascially the same way he missed the kick before halftime, he did that over and over and over again warming up.

I'm glad the game didn't come down to him.

I was worried about that in his first playoff game at Heinz.

What was he 1 for 2. Trying to remember how long the miss was from.

Jets are 0-3 in AFC Championship Games.

They did win the 1968 AFL Championship

27-23 over Oakland at Shea Stadium

    Well that's certainly relevant.

Coming from the guy who thinks the Browns championships in the 40s are relevant. fail.

Steelers are only 7-7 in AFC Championship Games

But this is their 15th appearance in a conference championship game, most of any team.

They'll also host their 12th conference title game, which is four more than the second team, San Francisco.

I'd, as an OSU fan, agree with him in one important way. They've had a recurring problem with getting up on teams and then losing that lead. Why they didn't make the playoffs last year, in essence. It wasn't so severe this year, but there were a number of games they should have put away, but didn't and the other team came back to make things scary. Kind of like Ohio State in the Sugar Bowl recently; where a 28-7 lead turned into a 31-26 win that wasn't decided until picking off Mallett in the red zone.
