if he gets on the field and gets speration i will be happy. a step in the right direction lol

Really they should put him out there. If Seneca is out there you know we're gonna run a trick play. If Mitchell is out there they don't know what the fuck is going on.

    Shurmur is just ignorant.

any chance he is one and done?

Doubt it, unless Holmgren is like "listen patty, step down to OC, I am going to show you how the grown ups do it."

exactly....no way he is one and done.

Well THAT was interesting. You have one front office/coaching staff (Denver) that is tailoring their offense to the QB's (Tebow's) strengths while you have another front office/coaching staff (Browns) that seems content to evaluate and stay strict with their "system" while continuing to lose. Which way is better? Which team will be better off in the long run?

Denver's defense is the reason why they have been winning these games. I think it's that the coaching staff is tailoring their offense for Tebow to find a way to get wins though. Not sure how long they can sustain it.

Shurmur is just annoying. It's not like they need to go to an unconventional NFL offense to tweak it up for their personnel. They can change a few things, and they would be better off, i.e. some shutgun, or a no huddle offense.

The league will catch up with Tebow, in the NFL you have to be able to adjust and Tebow hasn't shown the ability to do that.

Fox has scrapped his offense and tailored it specifically to Tebow's skillset.

Just read that the Browns are 0-9 in coin tosses. They can't do anything right.

This actually hurts-other team deferrs and kicks off-Browns go 3 and out-other team gets good field position and scores. It really does happen every game.
  • OQB
Tebow running the option in the NFL will only last what 2 maybe 3 years at most.

Colt is definately different though, all you have to do is put him in the shotgun....simple as that.

Shurmur's "my way or the highway" offense doesn't fill me with hope for the future.

The very best coaches are those who can shape their offenses around the talent available; putting players in the best position to be successful.

Stubbornly refusing to modify what you do in hopes that you can "teach" players to fit your system typically doesn't work.

The more I read about Shurmur and how even the schemes taught to wide receivers to get separation aren't working (but aren't being changed up) makes me wonder just what the talent level of some Browns players really is.

How the hell can you accurately evaluate talent when you're basically putting round pegs into square holes?

The only thing that gives me even a modicum of hope is that Shurmur did put in some plays last week that used the talents of the people in those plays. But his basic offense has been the most putrid thing I've ever seen in a Browns uniform.

My biggest beef is that they came into the season against the 8 ball (new coach, new offense & no OTA's/shortened training camp). You'd think instead of forcing the issue (gotta have that 3, 5 & 7 step drop) they'd put the QB in his comfort zone (shotgun) and sprinkle the WCO in (a little at a time) then go full bore at it when they had more time to implement it. That plus the fact that the QB isn't permitted to audible are a recipe for disaster.

I mean, the end results are "wins" not "who is right", correct?

Browns have only worn white on white the entire year, time to mix it up Surfail.

The brown jerseys will hide the grass strains on McCoy, making it less obvious how many times he has been pile driven into the turf.

At least it'll make it SEEM like he's not getting sacked as much?

While we are discussing the kardiac uniforms, lets bring cheerleaders to this team while we are at it.

Like a "badge of honor" many old school/diehards consider the addition of cheerleaders as blasphemous as putting a logo on the orange helmet.
