Yankees vs Phillies WS. Same old same old.

Yanks have a chance to get off to a wonderful start since Lee isn't scheduled to go to Game 3. You wonder if Texas drops game 1 if they'll bump Lee up a day to avoid falling behind 2-0.

I actually see the Rangers stealing this series from the Yankees.

I hope you are right...but I doubt it. I would like their chances better if they had Cliff Lee for game 1.

Agreed. I definitely hope the Rangers win. Love Cliff Lee and would love to see him beat the Yankees.

They'll steal one of the first two games and take game 3 (Lee) and 4 (vs Burnett). That will put them up 3-1 and Lee could pitch game 6 (on short rest) or game 7.
  • grodt
Stealing game one would be huge because then they don't have to worry about starting Lee until Game 3 then they'll probably have a 2-1 lead. If they lose game 1 they have to at least consider throwing Lee on short rest. It's conceivable that this series could last 5 games and Lee only pitches in 1. That shouldn't happen when you have an ace like that.

seems like a lot of people are discounting how well Pettitte and Hughes both pitched in the first round for New York...

    not necessarily.

Wilson is no slouch for Texas, I think he will pitch well and the rangers take game 1

Rangers are easily my bandwagon team for however long they last in this postseason.

Love how they play and enjoy the game. Will be rooting hard for them....which is also a deathwish for their chances.

^^^ This...Love Josh Hamilton and Cliff Lee. I even bought a Rangers t-shirt about midway through the season. Besides Cincy, the Rangers are my next favorite team. I'll admit, I jumped on the Texas bandwagon this year.

Rangers have a good chance in this one....as most Tribe fans know, CC is not very clutch in the playoffs.

    Hamilton strikes first

    3-0 Rangers

what a terrible pitch by CC....hanger on an 0-2 pitch
  • mhs95_06
Immediate advantage Rangers! I think the Rangers need to keep Lee on normal schedule, game 3 and 7.

    This lineup is tough.

Young in the No. 2 spot is a clutch veteran and then you have a lot of thump in the middle with Hamilton, Guerrero, Cruz.

And still some guys like Kinsler, Francoeur and Cantu who are solid hitters.

I think this is going to be a good series. Rangers will go toe to toe.

CC not out of danger yet in the bottom of the 1st

does CC attack the wall or the water cooler?
