ALCS: (3) Texas Rangers vs. (4) New York Yankees

  • Ironman92
Insane thought....but Lee is so untouchable........would the Yankees throw multiple creampuffs to allow the Rangers to score 2 or 3 so Lee would not be put back in?

Scoring 5 versus Rangers bullpen is far eaiser than scoring 2 off of Lee

Robin Ventura v Nolan Ryan?? I guess they weren't really haymakers...

a long inning and not scoring won't affect a focused pitcher like Lee

he is only focused on the task at hand

That was the case when Hamiltons pop-up cleared the RF wall. Yankees were never scoring on Cliff Lee tonight.

Smoltz was even par thru 16 on Bethpage Black....goodness

He might only be behind Michael Jordan for all-time most competitve person.

If I'm Girardi....I still pitch Burnett tomorrow...but he is on a short leash obviously.

I wasn't worried about his focus or psyche, only his physical condition after 122 pitches and sitting a while on a cool night.
