ALCS: (3) Texas Rangers vs. (4) New York Yankees

the pic from the front page of espn.com. How can the umpire say for sure from his vantage point the ball was clearly in the stands? I don't understand them at least not looking at it. Review is available, it doesn't take that long yet they don't take advantage. It's stupid and its no wonder baseball is getting/has gotten replaced by football as America's pastime.

I love the fact that ESPN has been tweaking baseball all along. Everytime something even slightly controversial happens, they blow it up big time. Replay will be expanded, you can almost bet that now

    Stupid fans.

Looks like Teixeira's season is over!

    Name that Molina!
  • mhs95_06
Somehow that inside fastball didn't hook foul off Molina's bat like you'd expect a pitch there to do. Giant blow for the Rangers!

Yankee fans are booing their own team LOL

I'm shocked they didn't empty the stadium between half innings. I don't think Burnett pitched poorly. Those boos need to be directed at Girardi.

Looking like the Pirates will get to interview Tony Pena rather soon.

Apparently Girardi hasn't seen his taco bell commercial. Clearly Burnett had eaten all of the chalupa he could handle tonight...

Chalk up another HR for Hamilton

Molina has been on an absolute tear going back to the last week or so of the season. Close to .500 over his last like 60 ABs.

sucks for Teixeira...makes the series not as fun.....he's the 2nd best 1st baseman I've seen in my years of watching basball.

though it appears it won't matter who's on first as the Rangers are the team right now.

I thought it was an awful idea to walk David Murphy based on hitting a HR off of Burnett during the season.

    not over still
  • Ironman92
    bases loaded in the 8th

    bringing in Darren Oliver...WTF?

Hamilton hits a line drive 425 ft Hr in about 1.8 seconds

he's amazing and the Rangers are going to the WS

It's really hard to watch Hamilton and not imagine him still in a Reds uniform.

    fans have seen enough apparently

This would be a decent announce team if they swapped Ernie Johnson for a better play-by-play man.

    I like the other two.

I agree EJ hasn't been very good so far this postseason. He is usually hilarious (in a good way) when he calls Braves games with Smoltz. He just seems like he has toned himself way down and lost some of the energy as well. You can still hear bits of Smoltz's humor but he is holding back some too.

They are just setting the stage for the Yankees to do the magical comeback, from being down 3-1....I hope Texas lights up the scoreboard tomorrow against CC..

I would love to see a Rangers/Giants World Series.
