The petulant little baby (Gilbert) said there was no chance they would sign and trade Lebron out of spite IMO. He ruled it out a long time ago. -
I Wear PantsThat's pretty stupid.

The only thing that Miami could offer was Beasley, and he's gone. -
KR1245The people that are calling Gilbert a baby and giving him a hard time are not Cleveland fans. Cleveland fans LOVE it. Gilbert doesnt care what other people have to say. This is what many of us wanted to hear. This feels like a huge kick in the gut and unless you're a Cleveland fan you will NEVER understand it. Its as simple as that. Gilberts statement has gotten alot of attention from Cleveland fans and most of it is positive.

Great! You guys love it. I'm glad. However, to us non-fans your organization looks like a joke. Agents say they aren't sending their players there. Your owner threw a guy who made him a lot of money under the bus. Your franchise looks second rate now. Take the high road! -
krazie45Like I said, Gilbert knew what the media reaction was going to be with that letter. He did it anyways because it was what needed said and it was something Cavs fans need to hear. Cleveland fans couldn't give less of a fuck what the haters say.

Oh no! Some poster on OhioChatter thinks the Cavs are a second rate franchise! What ever will we do!?
Please.....and the agents not sending people to Cleveland is something that the media will say of course. -
KR1245Great. We dont care.

Good. Nice attitude. Hopefully Stern will stack the deck again for you guys to get a superstar you won't appreciate once he's gone. smh -

If you think I am the only one, you're naive. -
karen lotz
But it's not just posters on Ohiochatter saying that. Why would any marquee player agree to play for the Cavs now? Yeah its great that Gilbert is passionate about his investment and team, but what happens when the team doesn't live up to expectations? He talked of LeBron not being loyal, yet he fires the 2009 NBA coach of the year and a GM who I think was pretty well respected around the league after back to back 60 win seasons??krazie45;417993 wrote:Oh no! KR1245Since when do fans have to appreciate a star after hes gone? What the fuck is this? Think Yankee fans would appreciate Arod if he left and went to the Sox? Take a look at the Packers fans........there arent many of them that appreciate Favre for what he has done, most of them hate him with a passion. Gimme a break.

Calling him a quitter, saying he won't win anything, etc. The facts are the majority of Cavs fans had boners for Lebron all the way up until the announcement. Now he sucks. -

Maybe LeBron is saying the same thing right now - "Oh no, some uneducated, unemployed jackass in Cleveland thinks I'm a traitor. What ever will I do?" -

Packer fans were the same way with Favre. Thats how sports works. Gimme a break. If you have a superstar athtlete on your team and he leaves you are still going to support him? Lets say some of the Reds young talent decides to go after more money when their contracts are up (which will happen) are you going to sit there and say "oh well, I appeciate what you did for our team" No fucking way. You gonna support Votta when hes playing for the Red Sox the way you would now? You dont think you might be a bit upset. -
I Wear Pants
That sounds exactly what the attitude in GB is towards Brett Favre.jordo212000;418003 wrote:Calling him a quitter, saying he won't win anything, etc. The facts are the majority of Cavs fans had boners for Lebron all the way up until the announcement. Now he sucks. -

I trust my organization to take care of business and get those guys re-signed.. but since you ask, if he does leave, then I know I will not be calling him a quitter, burning his jersey, and belittling his accomplishments. I also know Mr. Castellini (Reds owner) would not act like a scorned girlfriend and make a fool out of himself -

Because it's what other people didn't understand or want to believe. Cavs fans were/are fans of the Cavs not LeBron. They were fans of LeBron because he played for the Cavs, not the other way around. It's not so much him leaving that has upset so many people, it's HOW he left. -
PrescottWhy would any marquee player agree to play for the Cavs now?
If LeBron couldn't convince a marquee player to join him in Cleveland, what chance did Cleveland have to sign a marquee player without LeBron? None. -

Um, not sure who you're talking about. Gilbert has more money that LeBron will ever make and I'm certainly happy with my job lol.... -

At what point did LeBron try to convince a player to join him in Cleveland? He's a robin, that's why he's joining Wade. -

Bwahahahaha "a robin"? Now that is rich. How many tears have you shed in the last 12 hours? -

0 (another ignorant Cleveland hater thinking that Cavaliers basketball was founded in 2003. Guess what the sun came up today sport). But let me ask you this question:
1. Who has been the face of the Heat for the last seven years?
2. How many titles has Wade won? How many has LeBron won?
I guess robin is a little harsh. More like A-Rod to Wade's Jeter -
newarkcatholicfanSo with Dan saying James quit in all of those games has anyone told dan this is not true?
When those who posted he quit this board was full of he did not but worded in a much meaner way. -
AutomatikYou are acting like hes going into identical situations. Cleveland failed to bring another star to play along side LBJ.
After Shaq left....what has Wade done on his own? This is a great move for both players.
Also, Miami>Cleveland. It's not rocket science. I don't get why some of you have such a hard time understanding what just happened.
