Anyone who thinks LeBron is going to be a "role player" should just stfu now and go concentrate on baseball or something.....because they are obviously clueless when it comes to pro hoops.

You think he's gonna be the man on the Heat? if so than go make me a mix tape cause you have no idea what hell is happening.

Did Bosh, Amare, Boozer or anyone else do the 1 hour special? Nope, I'm not upset I can't stand Lebron or the city of Cleveland and find it funny "The King " is a role player and had to go to someone elses team.....He's not the man in South Beach deal with it,

Don't you understand that they were plannig this? Did you not hear him say that him, Bosh, and Wade talked about this? Also that Pat Riley had a hand in it also? They all will be role players playing the role of NBA champs in the near future.

You don't know the first thing about a team do you? Do you think he Wade or Bosh actually give a shit who is "the man." Like I said.....clueless.

Wasn't there talk of firing Brown a few years ago and Lebron made it clear he wanted Mike Brown as the coach?

The last few years, they bring in players....Lebron is happy....The fans are happy....The Cavs are unbeatable....They post the best regular season record in the league....Then they fail and suddenly Lebron doesn't have any help and doesn't have the supporting cast. Personally I think Mike Brown just isn't a good playoff coach. But Lebron will have his loyal, die hard defenders. This circus in which he was ring master was simply deplorable and an embarrassment to pro sports, which is actually really saying something.

You have Pat Riley saying "we're thrilled to have these guys join our TRULY GREAT player in Wade"....You have Lebron saying "it's not about sharing....we can all have our individual success"...I just don't think this marriage will last 5 years....Don't see a way they don't win a title or two, but I think after that Lebron will want to go somewhere and do what he couldn't do in CLE and won't get credit for in MIA. Lebron is already trying to counter that argument saying "championships are championships". Won't sit well with his ego when he finally wins a title and people say it's not like Jordan, or Kobe, or Bird or Magic. You just can't go be a mercenary chasing a ring and expect people to crown you GOAT.

Well Bosh and Wade didnt need an hour of wasting time. Lebron felt he needed the attention.

If you are not chasing a ring get the fuck out of the NBA.
  • thedynasty1998
BTW, with this promised championship, who wants to play for Gilbert now after that statement?

I don't agree with the whole hour special BS, but it was for charity. If you want to be pissy at anyone about it.....be pissy with ESPN. They allowed it.

They will all be role players in the run for a championship I agree with that, but this is still DWades team IMO, I think he gets the last shot in close games ( If they have any)

Yeah I'm sure the "big names" will be coming now. Hell maybe Gilbert can cast another spell to get them to come.....lmao. What a freakin' moron.

Oh knowz Wade is gonna take the last shot from LeBron....stop the presses!

lol you nerds are looking WAYYY too much into it. This team will be all about winning rings PERIOD.

    Again

  • Fab4Runner
Is LeBron going to be a role player? Obviously not. Is the Heat still Wade's team? Yes.

It can be extremely difficult for a leader not to be a leader, and having 2 or 3 leaders often doesn't work. I think it's a fair concern. It's not in the nature of such types to constantly defer. They may not care if they are "the man", but that doesn't mean they aren't naturally inclined to assume that role. I think it entirely possible you'll have 3 guys who neither knowingly or intentionally battle for it to be "his" team.

I also would bet money that after a title or two Lebron and probably Bosh will want to go carve their own legacy much like Kobe did when he felt he wasn't getting his due winning with Shaq.

The way Dan Gilbert reacted is precisely the way most Cleveland fans have....Child like.

Go 46 fucking years without your teams realizing a championship and get back to me. Something bandwagon fans don't nor will ever have to endure.

LOL, what a dumb post. "Blame ESPN, they allowed it."

You do know George Bodenheimer wasn't holding a gun to Lebron's head, right?
  • Automatik
No but they did cover it nonstop for about 24 hours straight.

Oh, Lebron put on a nice smile and said [mostly] the right things....Conducted himself well. But what Gilbert is going off on is how Lebron REALLY handled this and exposing the fascade behind the well-coached public face Lebron showed. Not returning phone calls and informing your team and owner in such manner simply cannot be defended.
