End of the Line for Michael Vick?

  • Tiernan
Should the NFL boot Vick for good if they find out he was associating with his former dog fighting co-defendent (also a convicted felon) which is in violation of his parole? His former associate was shot in a night club incident while attending Vick's birthday party. Vick is an ididot for even having such a party IMO.

    Mike, Mike, Mike...

Sure, why not??? What's he doing in the NFL anyway??? Nothing. That's the answer. Nothing.
  • Hb31187
Yeah Vicks a jackass for having a birthday party. A party which he wasnt even @ at the time of the shooting. Gimme a break.

Also it wasnt specified whether the former associate was invited, or if he showed up univited ect
  • Tiernan
When your under the scrutiny this "jackass" is under...yea having a party where you know your thug posse will show up (invited or not ) and probably shoot each other is asinine.
  • Hb31187
Lol thats fucking stupid logic. If he had this party and invited said felon then yes, its stupid. If hes having a bday party(like any other free man can do) and uninvited guests show up and start trouble (while hes not even there yet) then how is that his fault?
  • Tiernan
    ^^
Oh I imagine this "free man" was definitely there and that will come out in time. You obviously worship at the Temple of Vick like so many others that can't possibly see this turd should have been flushed a while ago.
  • Hb31187
And if he was there and willingly allowed the ex associate to be there, then yes it should be the end of the line for him. But so many people just like you are so blinded by hatred for Vick because he killed the wrong type of animal that they are just waiting for something to jump on him about. Goes both ways, jackass.
  • Tiernan
    ^^^
Your wrong there Hb...I was blinded by hate for this ghetto gangsta loooong before he killed any damn dogs. He's a poster child for what's wrong with pro-sports in America.

    /rolls eyes

Let me guess, you're north of 40 years old? And how exactly was he ghetto or a gangsta before the dog fighting incident?
  • Strapping Young Lad
Yeah, Vick was you're average straight laced dude. The dog fighting thing was a real shcocker. On the level of shock if Peyton Manning had been busted for dogfighting. Get real Vick was getto and gangsta any time you heard him talk in the third person.

"Everywhere I go people always gon love Mike Vick"

they had to do nothing to revamp his image after his release from prison. They said just go out there and be yourself Mike and everyone will forgive you.
  • Hb31187
Lol yes because of how he spoke, he must of been a terrible dude before the dogfighting.

    Smh.

And i suppose since Peyton and Brett Favre have country accents, they must be racist and it wouldnt be much of a shock if they turned out to be KKK members lol right?
  • Strapping Young Lad
You think he just all of a sudden took up dog fighting and got busted that day???

No, but other guy said he hated Vick and would of even if he didnt get in trouble for the dog fighting.

During a football camp he's hosting at Hampton University, Vick was asked by a reporter Friday whether he had any comment on the incident.
"Watch what you do. Pick and choose your friends carefully," he said. "You just can't put yourself in vulnerable situations." (LOL)

Phillips cooperated with prosecutors in their case against Vick, signing papers saying the quarterback had helped kill eight pit bulls that performed poorly in fights. (maybe this is why he got shot?)

It started inside, Q got tossed out, Q got shot, Q and witnesses would not answer questions. The rest/bar is giving video footage to the cops.

If Peyton Manning or Brett Favre were as arrogant and vain as Vick seemed to be in interveiws even long before the dogfighting shit, then I'd probably not like them either. Now you have a arrogant jerk of a guy busted for being deeply involved with some pretty horrific and grusome acts.

But you expect me to believe that this is a nice guy and only became an asshole all of a sudden????

If a dude acts like a dick anytime you see or here about him then what conclusion can a person draw??? Then when its proven that he killed dogs in the manner he did all that shit is confirmed.

How can you fault some guy for realizing Vick was an ass before it was proven by law???
  • Hb31187
Favre isnt arrogant haha? With this its all about me attitude hes had the past few off seasons i wouldnt exactly call him not arrogant.

And I never said he was a "good guy", but to have a deep hatred, not just dislike but hatred for someone because they come off as "ghetto" to you is pretty fuckign stupid, which is basically what the guy before you had said. And he said thats the problem with pro sports now a days so i assume he feels that way about many stars that he deems to be "ghetto". And i would bet the vast majority of them arent doing anything illegal so just because he was right about this one person doesnt mean his logic is right more times than not

have you watched SportsCenter??? Just today there are stories of Vince Young in trouble, Vick's paty being investigated, and Cedric Benson punching and spitting blood at someone. I'll bet you and I both could pick out dudes who are trouble makers by listening to them talk and watching how they act, even when it's on camera and they know it will be seen by the public. I can spot an idiot a mile away. I know a lot of criminals.

Hb..."what's north of 40" got to do with it? even if I was...are you sayin younger guys don't have the intelligent insight to know when a punk is trying to sell himself as a gangsta? Vick's brother Marcus was even a bigger POS and he claimed many times how he wanted to be just like his big bro. Well guess what the dip-shit got his wish.
  • norwalk
I am "north of 40" and I am not a Vick supporter but you can't blame him until all the facts are out. As for how he lives his life, he's a creature of his environment. I can only imagine how I would speak, act, etc if I was raised in the settings he was raised. I am not defending his crimes because bottom line he broke the law. But I am defending how he acts "gangsta" or whatever you want to call it. Heck you have kids today in the "burbs" thinking its cool to act all gangsta.

Strapping, theres 3 stars u named, i could sit here and ramble off about 50 stars who come off as "ghetto, or gangsta" but dont get in trouble. They just seemt hat way because of where theyre from.

And Tiernan, half of these guys that act ghetto or whatever to you, probably arent putting on an act or trying to sell himself as a gansta at all...in fact theyre probably FROM the ghetto, crazy right? Doesnt make em all bad

Umm, I don't know if these fit the "ghetto" or "gangsta" terms, but as far as not building a very good reputation there was something like:
    - distribution of marijuana by guys using his truck
    - watch stealing at ATL airport by his entourage
    - settling out of court for knowingly passing along his STDs
    - flipping off the crowd after he got beat

I'm sure there's a good explanation for all of those things, individually. Sooner or later, one has to realize that if trouble seems to follow everywhere a person goes, it probably isn't "everybody else".
  • Hb31187
Lol, so having bad friends and flippig off fans who boo you( and that game wasnt his fault, i remember said game). He wasnt a model citizen, but its not like he was Pac Man

It isn't just that his friends are bad. They used HIS truck. Maybe he didn't know they were running drugs? The stolen watch was while HE was there. I notice you didn't have a specific retort for knowingly passing off diseases. And yeah, sorry, but flipping off the crowd is pretty low class.

It is the whole picture, not just one of these incidents that cause people to draw their opinions of the guy. Nobody said he was Pac Man. But to try and act as though all his criticism is somehow unfair or that it is some huge stretch to think he isn't all that great of a guy just seems pretty weak. I mean, if you know the guy personally and have something to dispute the characterization, I'd love to hear it. At the same time, really, take off the name and most people are still going to form the same opinions.

He deserves to be treated like any other individual in this circumstance. If you think that this would be enough to kick anyone out of the NFL then I respect your opinion. But punishing the dude for his past is extremely stupid since he's already served his time. This "once a criminal always a criminal" attitude is what keeps people constantly in lives of crime.
