    AND...

Mike Miller WILL BE in Akron tomorrow as part of LeBron's camp...

    Big Deal.....

Paul was there today...it's not like he's getting dealt to Cleveland anytime soon

If I had to guess....Orlando or Boston or the Clippers will also make a serious run at Miller

ESPN showed how it would work out if Lebron went to NY, but NY would only have 1 mil left to do anything. Lebron, Amare, and a bunch of no names (Eddy Curry is fat and sucks) is not going to get anything done lol (see the 2004 Lakers) and as someone already stated, Lebron is not going to go to a situation where he goes through a mediocre season.

Mike Miller has already met with the Clippers but said he's wanting to play for a contender this year.

Also, CP3 is under contract dumbass... Kind of a different scenario, no?

Not real sure why Orlando would look at Mike Miller since they have VC...

Also not sure why Boston looks at Mike Miller when they need front court depth, especially if Ray Allen re-signs.

Gibby will you shut the fuck up and get out of this thread. There is another thread for the NBA offseason. This is the Cavs off season thread. We get it, you don't want Lebron in Cleveland, and you are rooting for him to leave.

You can keep posting in this thread, but we all know you're a joke and what your intent is.

You've posted some stupid ass tweets just because these random ass people had LeBron leaving..

Seriously, stop being some damn stupid. You're honestly filling this thread with more bullshit than ESPN fills their airwaves with.

    From nevadabuck today

    Lebron 100% to the Cavs

This will be Lebron's last foray as a courted free agent. Inner circle feels that his brand has taken an unreal hit due to the supposed free agency tour and everything else. Also, the canceling of the free agent tour was essentially showing a giant sea change in how the Lebron thing was going to go from here on out for the rest of his career.

Also, Nevada broke the WWW out of the James' circle story about a week ago.

The hold up is getting lebronjames.com off the ground. Nevada says that Thursday will be THE day. The official announcement will be from the site.
    How about that Gibby! LOL!

    YEAH!

Since I live closer to LBJ than any reporter in world (1/2mile), I just drove by. Lights on, cars lined up, looks like party. Decision made?

JA Adande reporting that "LeBron's opinion on chicago has been cooling off"....

I think he was enticed with chicago, not enough to go there though.

I also don't think Miami was ever a real possibility. I think that would have hurt his legacy.

NY was never a real threat... They botched this entire process even after preparing for 3 years..

I think the only REAL legit threat is NJ and I don't think they're ready for LeBron yet and I think he knows that.

I expect another 3 year deal with a 4th year option... NJ will be moved to Brooklyn by then, and if Cleveland still hasn't delivered by then, Lebron will be gone.

I'll be VERY surprised if he signs a 6 year Max deal.

Hot rumor regarding the Cavs and Suns..

With the recent departure of Amar'e, it's believed that the Suns are now going into a cost cutting mode.

The Cavs are rumored to be interested in Leandro Barbosa.
The Suns also were rumored to be talking to Boston about trading Leandro Barbosa for Rasheed Wallace's contract until Wallace started reconsidering retirement plans. That could have led to a payroll-friendly contract buyout.

The Suns have talked to Cleveland about a deal that would send Barbosa there for Jamario Moon, whose contract expires in a year, and Delonte West, who can be bought out of his contract. Barbosa has two years and $14.7 million remaining on his deal.

Moving Barbosa could put Phoenix in a position to save $3.5 million this season and have more salary-cap space next summer, when Jason Richardson's contract expires, for a maximum-level free agent. However, after Carmelo Anthony, the 2011 free-agency pool won't be nearly as strong, and there is a strong chance of a lockout.
    http://www.azcentral.com/sports/suns/articles/2010/07/05/20100705phoenix-suns-amare-stoudemire-plan.html

The funny thing about this is, there were recent reports that the Raptors had an interest in Barbosa.

Regardless, Barbosa is a solid player who was held back last season with a cyst in his shooting wrist. He's had surgery to remove it and should be back to 100%. If this was a trade to get Barbosa, it'd be a solid pick up. Not one that I'd 100% be happy with by trading our top trade piece, but it'd be solid nonetheless...

However, if this is a trade that leads us into a bigger trade, I'd love it even more.

Oh he'll sign the 6 year deal just as insurance incase his body breaks down on him or he has some sort of debilitating injury that basically neuters him. He knows at least come hell or high water he is guaranteed his $120 mil if he has to go that route.

That said, it will have an opt out after year 3 . Management are not going to like it at all, but considering the alternative is not signing him Gilbert will gladly bend over and take it.

While the opt out is smart for him professionally to avoid getting trapped somewhere in his prime years, he almost undercuts the teams ability to build a champion because everyone is on Defcon 1 constantly over his pending departure if they don't win it all. There is never time to develop proscpects because they are always giving away their draft picks or picking bums to stash in Europe. The roster has been turned over now like 3 times int he past 5 years, and when you look at the championship teams they have considerable continuity.

It won't be but a year and a half from now we will be talking about the "summer of Lebron" again for 2013, as it was about a year and a half out it really kicked into high gear last time. He will be a lame duck by that third season, and if they don't have a title by then it is going to be unbearable around that team with the pressure of knowing he is not coming back without a ring in year 3.

Even signing on for a 4th year would make a huge difference, as it would give them a year to restructure the roster without knowing now they're down to 2 years, and just 1 season away from lame duck Lebron. I just think if he's gonna stay he needs to be a bit more realistic about everything. You can't turn the roster over and win a title in the same year for the most part, as Boston is the only team I can think of where it worked.

It just kind of feels like for a guy who supposedly wants to win so bad that he could do more to take away some of the perpetual chaos about his future does little to help this team and I think the pressure of the "win or I'm out of here" makes it worse.

I'm not sold on Broussard but I hope there is some truth to this. We have heard that the Raptors dont have any interest in a Beasley and the Bulls dont want to let Noah go. Cavs seem to have the advantage if Bosh reallys wants that 6th year like some reports are suggesting.

As we said last week, Cavs simply have more S-&-T assets than CHI, MIA & can also take a bad TOR contract. All depends on Bosh willingness.

I don't know about everybody else but the tension and anticipation is killimg me. My life can't go forward until Lebron favors us with his decision as to what franchise he will be handing the NBA Title to. I just hope he decides before the actual season begins because he probably should practice a couple of times with his new team mates prior to kicking off the campaign...but then Allen Iverson doesn't need to practice, and if Allen doesn't need to, I can't imagine why Lebron would either. I really do like Lebron and I hope he stays home but this drama is getting beyond ridiculous.

This whole situation is like a reality show.

I was listening to WKNR a few minutes ago and the latest report says that Toronto is open to a Sign and Trade with Cleveland.

That Barbosa from Phoenix and Mike Miller are being thrown around.

This is just one big circus and I hope that as soon as the camp is over Wednesday he makes his decision known so this whole thing can be over.

They'd have to give up Hickson, Varejao, Delonte West, and Anthony Parker lol

Sources: Raptors OK with Bosh to Cavs

    By Chris Broussard
    ESPN The Magazine

Everything is set for Chris Bosh to join LeBron James in Cleveland. Everything, that is, except Bosh's approval.

The Toronto Raptors have told the Cleveland Cavaliers they will do a sign-and-trade with them for Bosh, according to several league sources.

The exact details of the potential trade have not been solidified, but Toronto likely would get Anderson Varejao and/or J.J. Hickson, Delonte West and perhaps Anthony Parker. A draft pick could be involved as well.

Both James and Bosh are aware that such a trade is possible, and James has tried to recruit Bosh to the Cavaliers several times in the past few weeks, according to sources.

But right now, Bosh remains cold to the idea of playing in Cleveland.

The Cavaliers are hopeful that will change, because in Cleveland, Bosh can meet two of his top priorities: playing with James, and getting a six-year, $125 million contract.

If Bosh joins a team without doing a sign-and-trade, he will be able to sign only a five-year deal worth $96 million. He is determined not to leave that $29 million on the table, according to sources.

Although Bosh wants to play with James, he wants to do it in Chicago, Miami or New Jersey. Sources say he has told the Raptors those are the teams he would like to go to in a sign-and-trade.

Bosh also could play with Dwyane Wade instead of James in those cities.

Toronto, however, will not cooperate in a sign-and-trade with Miami, which has no players in whom the Raptors are interested, according to sources.

To move Bosh to Chicago, the Raptors likely would ask for Joakim Noah, though they could perhaps be persuaded to take a package that does not include him.

I don't mind that. I wish they could find somebody else other than Varejao though.
  • The Enforcer
That is tearing the team apart to get Bosh.
