  APRIL 15--The college student who accused Ben Roethlisberger of sexually assaulting her last month in a Georgia nightclub told cops that the NFL star approached her "with his penis out of his pants" and followed her into a bathroom, where "he had sex with me" in spite of her objections.

  In one of two handwritten police statements, the woman recalled that she told Roethlisberger, "No, this is not OK, and he then had sex with me. He said it was OK. He then left without saying anything."

  One witness, Ann Marie Lubatti, told investigators that she saw one of Roethlisberger's bodyguards guide the alleged victim to a side door. Lubatti said that she immediately approached another bodyguard and said, "This isn't right. My friend is back there with Ben. She needs to come back right now." Lubatti, who described Roethlisberger as "noticeably intoxicated," said she was rebuffed by the bodyguard, who remarked, "I don't know what you are talking about."
  
  When Lubatti later spotted her friend, the alleged victim said, "We need to go now." Lubatti said the woman told her that Roethlisberger "walked back to where she was with his penis already out of his pants. She told him that they shouldn't be doing this and that it wasn't right." The woman told Lubatti that Roethlisberger had followed her into the bathroom and shut the door. "She continued to say she didn't want to have sex, but he kept saying, "No, it's OK." Lubatti said that her friend told of having unprotected sex with Roethlisberger. After hearing her friend's account, Lubatti and another woman, Nicole Biancofiore, "walked up to the first cop we saw and told them what happened."

  Another sorority sister, Victoria Garofalo, recalled that the alleged victim was wearing a name tag with the initials "DTF." The tag--which the woman had received at a birthday party earlier that evening--was the subject of an inside joke between the students. When Roethlisberger asked about the initials, "Garofalo explained that 'DTF' stood for 'down to fuck' and that it referred to a joke between" the women.
  
  "I'm not down to fuck, but I like to fuck girls," Roethlisberger replied, according to a police report.
  
  Witness Elizabeth Brooks told investigators of partying with Roethlisberger at Capital City, where he purchased a round of shots for women in the VIP room and announced, "All my bitches, take some shots."

  Aurila recalled that Roethlisberger said the "girl slipped and he helped her up and then came back out." Aurila noted that "he took 'messing around' to mean 'kissing, whatever,'" according to a GBI report. He added that Roethlisberger's demeanor was "angry and shocked that this was happening" as he spoke of the allegation leveled against him.

  Most of those more damning quotes come from women.

  Yeah, honestly, that's how I feel. Her story hasn't been overly consistent and just a little while ago, we had a prominent thread on the SB forum about a woman getting sentenced because it was found out that she accused (and got sentenced) a man of rape...which was a lie she made because she was either late to or skipped out of something she committed to.
  
  The more I read and hear, the more I'm convinced that Ben is a creepy douche asshole as a human being, but I've not read nor heard anything that makes me think he's committed any wrong other than being a creepy douche asshole. With all the mutual intoxication going on with all parties, it's just too easy for me to visualize some chick who got fucked up, had wild bathroom sex that may have been rougher than she expected (re: Kobe...shit, Ben might have the Ron Jeremy advantage and destroyed the bitch) and was encouraged by her sorority pals to get rich off the whole thing.

  I hear what you guys are saying. After reading some of the stuff from the report.....I started thinking the same thing. Ben is a creep with poor judgement. However, wouldn't someone who was raped actually say that in their statement rather than,"He had sex with me." Um, how about saying that he "raped" you if that's what it was. Also, you'd think a girl would be saying,"No!!! Stop!!! Get off of me!!! Get the fuck away from me!!!!" if a guy is about to rape her. But the police report says that she stated that she told him,"No, this is not OK." If some big galoot is about to "rape" you...you'd think you'd use a little stronger language/words than "No, this is not OK." I realize she was drunk but still.

  I don't disagree ewok but the big galoot is a famous football player in the NFL, not Joe bag-o-donuts. I mean, it's obvious he uses his fame to take advantage which I think is more the point the league wants to make. I was of the opinion that he should be retained regardless of the suspension, after reading how down right creepy the whole thing seemed to be, I wouldn't shed a tear if they traded him were I a Steeler fan.

  First off, the evidence coming out now is just being released. It had been collected awhile ago but during the investigation that evidence is kept private. So these are not new allegations or comments, just released information.
  
  Also, there are many cases of wrongdoing that are not pursued. Some factors are lack of physical evidence. Its hard to prove guilt when its a he/she said type of case, doesn't mean that the events didn't take place though. Also, some victims do not want to go through the situation all over again during the trial especially when dealing with a high profile defendant.
