Reading the posts on concealed carry in bars/ gun free zones .....

I know a few ex and current law enforcement/ military/security people and they carry EVERYWHERE.... Laws, gun free zones notwithstanding. As it was explained to me why they take the risk.....Bad guys and perps are lawbreakers by definition... They don't care about signs.
.... "You'll never know I'm carrying unless a situation arises that I have to draw my gun.... And it that case you're gonna be damn glad I did."

Two of my friends told me they were "getting ARs ASAP!"

    Ridiculous memes everywhere. Fucking idiots.

I'm assuming the people you're referring to have clearance to carry always?

A good friend of mine is very high up in the secret service. He's carrying pretty much anytime he's outside of his home.

I find it amusing people post "there's absolutely no reason for anyone to own an ar-15" and then someone else says "ha ha stupid hill billies. Nobody wants to take your guns." If nobody needs one, how do you propose to make that happen unless someone takes them. Obama says his biggest failure is not being able to enact more gun control. Do you think he would allow any private citizens to own an ar-15?

Hillary has said she would like to see Australian style gun control. Guess what they did in Australia?

Nope. But they are highly trained individuals who can trust themselves to act responsibly and reliably.

Just because I don't think you need one doesn't mean I want to take it from you. Do whatever you want. I'm not worried about CCW holders and their weapons.

Keep military-style weapons off our streets. Military-style assault weapons do not belong on our streets. They are a danger to law enforcement and to our communities. Hillary will work to keep assault weapons off our streets and supports reinstating the assault weapons ban.

They've been trying and failing for years.

From my cold dead hand with the government take my weapons. I have my rights and earned the freedom to carry, and own weapons and continue to protect myself, family, others from criminals, terroist and a government.

How is an AR-15 different than any other handgun when they're both semi-automatics?

So you'd rather keep your guns and have there be tons of gun violence and people dying everyday, good to know. Do you still believe women and black shouldn't vote? Maybe black people should go back to using their own water fountains and bathrooms. When laws are out dated, they are changed. Why are some bills ok to amend and other aren't?
  • like_that
-More gun crimes during the Semi Automatic ban.

-Less gun crime after the ban expired.

-Handguns are responsible for the majority of "mass shootings."

Just facts that gun control supporters apparently can't handle or comprehend.

That's why I hate the assault weapons ban argument. It's a false flag. They'll take assault weapons and crime won't drop. So then they'll say it's actually handguns and go after them.

Just curious, of the people in this thread who carry, how many times has it came in handy? And I don't mean on animals, I mean on people. How many situations have you encountered where the outcome was altered due to you having, showing, or God forbid, using your carrying weapon?

How is a rifle any different than a handgun?
    is this serious?

If you can explain to me how my giving up my weapons saves anyone I will be happy to consider it. The world is full of bad people who want to do bad things. My being unarmed does not change that.

To borrow from a meme, gun control is like getting a vasectomy because your neighbor has too many kids.

I think by different he means less dangerous.

If people giving up their guns meant less people dying, you wouldn't do it? You think once a law or bill is put into place you can never change it?

No, I would never do it. Our guns are to prevent government tyranny. And government tyranny has killed far more people in history than anything else.

You have a leading presidential candidate basically saying she would like to do nothing more than that. When the highest ranking government official is espousing such views, The People damn well better be paranoid.
