  Police officers are trained the same way. If the police officer grew up in ferguson he would have done the same shit, which was tell MB to walk on the fucking sidewalk. Based on the respect black people have for one another (see: the black on black crime rates), I suspect MB would have responded in the same manner as he did with Wilson. I don't give a fuck if the cop is polite or being a dick, when a cop gives you orders, you listen. If you do not like the way he handled the situation after the fact, you can go through the proper channels to voice your complaint. Instead MB decided he wanted to be a hard ass thug and he found himself dead because of it. You have to be an ignorant dipshit to think you won't be getting yourself in trouble if you fuck with a cop (especially physically attack him). I don't know how everyone else was raised, but my parents made it very clear to me. If I ever have an encounter with a cop, NEVER mouth off to him. It's a pretty simple concept, however MB's parents failed to raise their child. Instead of looking at the mirror and realizing they fucked up as parents, they want to go off and find excuses and blame everyone else.

  youre delusional if you think police don't use their own discretion and abuse their authority to how they see fit. There's no strict code saying to approach everyone and everything the same way bc we see that's not true everyday. No ones disputing the fact that MB is probably not an innocent victim here. I'm sure both parties escalated the situation. The problem is no one knows and has to take the word of one person who isn't inhernetly honest just bc he's a cop.

  I was stopped one night at 1 AM for armed robbery because " my car fit the description". A police car pulled me over, I stopped, and within a few seconds.. 2 more pulled up. I had at least 4 guns on me, and the police were not nice. They ere loud and rough as they shouted orders and frisked me. I was compliant at every order and they soon figured out I wasn't the guy they were looking for. They let me go with an apology and that brief explanation .
  
  The point is when a cop gives you an order, you comply because you don't know what's going on or what they are looking for or dealing with in what can be a life threatening job.

  An ive been stopped for suspected dui for being a kid driving at night on a weekend. We all have anecdotal evidence of run ins with cops. You can't use it to discredit that bc it happens to minorities daily and you once.
  
  Respect and compliance are 2 different things. Everyone has to earn respect. MB probably should have been more complaint and used more self control. Problem is you wouldn't have been stopped for walking in the street and these kids are daily. And its an issue that I know you'd like to avoid and pretend it doesn't exist.
  
  Fact is is you don't know what truly happened that day. All you have is Wilsons word and this good enough for you.

  no I don't live in the hood but they do and they say it does. Statistics corroborate their claims. So it's true unless you think they're all lying.

  Time to change the culture. Instead of relying on race baiting pieces of shits like sharpton/jackson and race baiting organizations (NAACP), start listening to people of your own kind who you normally would label as an "uncle tom." Sometimes the truth hurts, but is is 100% necessary for positive change. What they have been doing the last 50 years obviously hasn't been working, but hey keep making excuses for them.   Maybe that's because most people would be walking on the sidewalk instead of down the middle of the street. It's happened to me and I've seen it happened to my friends where they were walking down the middle of the street and a cop yells to "get on the sidewalk before somebody hits you and kills you."
  
  Anyone who has to drive through a black neighborhood that is a bit rougher has experienced kids/people walking in the middle of the street...as slow as possible...yelling at cars and doing stupid shit like throwing gang signs and doing the finger gun thing. I'm not saying MB was doing that. But when it's a regular experience in some neighborhoods to have people walking in the middle of the street instead of on the sidewalk, the cops are going to be stern because they probably tell people every day to get on the fucking sidewalk.
  
  Here's a hypothetical for you. Let's say Wilson never says a word to MB and just drives past him walking in the middle of the street. Then a car comes by, hits him and kills him. Now Wilson is in trouble because he DIDN'T tell MB to get on the sidewalk and I'm sure we hear that the cops don't care about the black kids because he didn't even stop to tell him to get on the sidewalk. He was damned if he did, damned if he didn't.
