Newly popular game: Knockout

I know how we all hope that ends, but most of the videos of this I have seen are total sucker punches. No way having a gun would help when you don't even see the person hitting you.

They should charge these people with attempted murder. You could easily kill someone like that, most likely from them hitting their head on the fall.

If you don't get knocked out and are able to stand up, it could make a difference.

People already have died from it. Not so much the punch, but slamming their head on the ground when they fall unconscious.

That, and there should be some sort of charge or aggravated degree for ganging up on a single person.

But I'm sure cracking down on this behavior with harsh sentences would be viewed as racist.

Enough of them get shot, this will go away.

If they're not "attempting" to murder someone, I don't think attempted murder should be on the table.

However, I don't think there would be a problem with stiffer penalties for unprovoked attacks.

I always assumed the beating would continue if you weren't out cold from the first shot, but I would pay money to see a person stand back up and open fire just mowing the the entire group down.

Yeah, it's a can of worms. But attaching "hate crime" to assault might actually carry stiffer penalties.

Anyway, with all the press coverage I'm afraid this "game" is going to explode nationwide.

I was fearing the same. I've begun watching my surroundings around my house.

#1DBag..... Thanks for posting that video. I've watched it twice & maybe again later on today. I don't agree with everything this man says but I love his passion for people.

Honestly surprised it didn't start in DC given how many you know who's we have here. DC might have the dumbest population in America.

Last time I played knockout it was shooting clays at a bachelor party. Started around noon and lasted until well after dark as a buddy had tower lights set up. An ammo run was needed over dinner time. I stopped playing about that time becuase something about 5-10 drunk guys shooting clays in close proximatey of one another didnt seem too safe.

They must have left out the East side then.

Also, I think you are thinking of Bethesda.

^^^He only got a year. DA's are going to have to scour the law to find a way to dish out stiffer charges/penalties on these idiots.

It seems like you could probably make an argument for felony assault, perhaps in multiple ways, when dealing with a group attacking a single individual (even if it's just 1 member of the group committing the act).

Felony assault carries much more serious penalties. And there's plenty of discretion, even within the felony assault sentencing, to not be overly concerned with juries/lawyers being unfair.

When have I ever said this wasn't about race? You have to come better than that.

How difficult might it be to prove beyond reasonable doubt that other friends were in on the actual attack?

I don't think it matters. If you have witnesses or visual evidence he had a group backing him up, whether they were directly involved or not, I think a case can be made for felonious assault on multiple levels.

The threat and potential for harm matters. And from the perspective of the victim, if one guy approaches to attack you with several friends who could jump in. To me that's pretty similar to assault with a deadly weapon because this is a fight you can't win, so you can't really defend yourself. Potentially facing 3 or more guys might as well be the same as a guy pointing a gun in your face - trying to defend yourself could very likely result in death.

In such a case, I think the jury should have the option to consider felony assault.

Should've put a few in his head to make sure the "game" ended for him.

Bas Rutten put this on his facebook today:
These guys are the biggest losers I have ever seen, and I have seen a lot of them. Sucker punching people (who they don't know) and when they don't expect it (for when you don't know what "sucker punch" means).

Women, older man, hitting them from the back, NO cojones whatsoever to attack a tough guy and another thing, they are always in groups, the "hero's".... because God forbid somebody doesn't go down and fights back, they need all the help they can get since they have, once again, ZERO cojones.

How you think they would feel when you knock their mother or father out? Brain injuries, headaches, neck injuries, you name it, even death as you can hear in the video

When you know losers like this please tell them to stop this dumb behavior and when they DO actually have a pair of pelota's (which they don't) they can come to my gym, El Guapo has a plethora of guys, even girls they can fight.
