I love that 'Cheap bourbon'.O-Trap;1299365 wrote:I'm currently sipping on a relatively cheap bourbon: Woodford Reserve.

May be cheap by price, but there a many good bourbons in that price range. Woodford Reserve is one of them.O-Trap;1299365 wrote:I'm currently sipping on a relatively cheap bourbon: Woodford Reserve.

SonofanumpI am price point on Whiskey (any liquor for that matter). Fan of Jamison's Irish for the price. What would be comparable in Scotch?

WebFireSorry about the size. But seeing that large bottle just makes me more thirsty for some.

Ironic, given that alcohol dehydrates you.WebFire;1346496 wrote:Sorry about the size. But seeing that large bottle just makes me more thirsty for some.

I didn't mean that as a correction. At times, it really does feel like a "thirst" for it. I just think it's funny that it actually dehydrates you.WebFire;1346512 wrote:Let me try again then. Seeing the large bottle makes me taste for some. -
Curly JStill a Woodford Reserve fan myself. Had a few glasses last Thrusday at a cigar tasting.

Laley23Cant believe I didnt see thi sthread when it firts started. Love Whiskey.
I prefer Kentucky/Tennesee Bourbon style and Canadian Whiskey than others, but I dont hate anything. I strongly dislike most Irish Whiskeys though.
Makers Mark and Canadian club is what I currently have in the Apt. -

No. I am not a whiskey snob. I am a price point liquor drinker. I'll try the Glenlivet 12 year.bases_loaded;1346668 wrote:Do yourself a favor and buy one of the ones from my picture above.

ptown_trojans_1Bought a bottle of the Makers 46 last month. Smooth, yet a nice finish kick. A good amount of vanilla flavor in it as well.

I'll try a shot is someone had it, but I am not dropping $63 for a bottle.bases_loaded;1346714 wrote:Not a snob thing. Treat yoself -

Start off by seeing if there is a whiskey bar or Scotch bar in your area. Try a glass of something nice to see what you think.Sonofanump;1346722 wrote:I'll try a shot is someone had it, but I am not dropping $63 for a bottle.
I wouldn't go more than a couple/few drinks per night, as your sense of taste can be affected noticeably the more inebriated you get. Also, to get an accurate taste, I'd chase each with something to cleanse the palate so that you start fresh with each glass.
