Yea but the time of how long it takes to take over makes no sense. The one dude had it for at least a day in when trying to get him to CDC, and it took the blonde's sister at least a night to come back. Shane was out for bout 1 min lol.

I don't think anybody is immune. Again, the virus is obviously airborne and it simply take death to revive as a "walker"... People who die from head shots stay dead forever.

It's been hinted from day 1. They found that zombie who was hanging from the tree after committing suicide earlier this season...

It kind of brings to life how the entire infection started, but not what actually caused the virus.

Also, the Governor plot IS happening in Season 3. Shane WILL NOT be missed. The actor has already been hired and T Dogg even made a subtle mention of "The governor" tonight.

It's going to be a HUGE shit storm from here on out, especially if it's anything close to the novels.

No, that dude wasn't DEAD yet. Being DEAD is the key. He was suffering from a bite in which the bacteria was slowly killing his body. Same thing with Andrea's sister.

I guess that makes sense. I was going to say if it was airborne, then they'd all turn if they weren't immune. If being dead was the key, then getting bit or mixed with blood wouldn't matter. But I suppose there's some nasty bacteria that might kill you from a bite, or even mixing blood.

I thought she died in Andrea's arms and shortly turned after that...

Maybe in next week's episode Herschel will drink himself to death....Then when he's stumbling around, they'll think he's just blitzed....until he takes a chunk out of Carl!

7The guy that hung himself left a note saying he had been bitten.

Not too happy about them killing off the most interesting character in the show, but they stuck to comics.

Ah, you're right. forgot about the letter...

Still doesn't change every other scenario though.

Loved the episode tonight. Absolutely fucking awesome.

Really good episode. Shit is about to get real.

I think it has been hinted on about the whole death thing causing the illness as well. Wasn't the morgue about to explode in the very first episode?

Just like with any other virus, I'm sure this is contagious. So, getting bitten would do the same as someone with pink eye touching you, the flu getting sneezed on you, MRSA....

Is next week the season finale? God, I hope not.

But if it's airborne - which at this point has to be concluded I think - then you must be immune while living. So if getting bitten doesn't kill you, then it can't turn you either. And I'm not sure we've seen any cases of that, but it would explain all the times they've clearly been scratched or gotten saliva/blood on them and don't get "infected". And by the characters' actions, it seems, intuitively at least, that they've figured this out.

My only complaint on lasts nights episode was the fact that they have walked the entire perimeter of the farm, they have had a gun battle taking out 12 or so walkers from the barn and Andrea shooting Daryl. My point is, Carl shoots Shane, and the entire Zombie hord hanging out in the woods hears it? lol I mean, they have walked every where, you would think they would have stumbled on that big mess of zombies. Otis went out looking for walkers, how did he miss this group within earshot. I know Shane and Rick walked a ways, but come on that is a stretch.

As for the virus part, they seem to be going back and forth on that issue.

Who says this group of walkers have been right there this whole time? They are probably just making their way to the farm now.

I don't think they're going back and forth at all. I think the doc told Rick that everyone has it, and that when you die you turn, no matter what. I think this will be resolved next week (re: what the doc told Rick), and I think another character (or two) dies at the farm.

They could have been, but 1 single gunshot and they hone in on Rick and Carl like ccrunner to a middle school shower! lol

So, do you think that maybe the one guy and Andrea's sister died from blood loss and then turned?

If that's the case, then Daryl's brother would have to be a walker because he cut off his own hand. I just don't buy the idea that being bitten does absolutely nothing to you. I think that being bit gets the virus in your system, and it takes ~12 hours to for you to be infected. Or, maybe the virus is quick acting and kills you within 12 hours. Definitely a lot to think about, but is it THAT different from every other Zombie Plague movie as far as how you get infected?

I don't think so. It's just not something worthy of being a secret. It could have been about Lori's baby...Or the only other scenario I could think of was one of had an immunity or was a carrier (meaning a potential cure/innoculation). But based on this latest that doesn't matter. And a cure wouldn't matter, either, since it all only matters after you're dead.

So it's not like some miracle drug is making these zombies human again. I guess that could have been what the doctor said, that all these people are, in fact, dead and there's absolutely no saving them. But it seemed like he had made some progress, and it DEFINITELY seemed like living people were getting turned.

Anyway, I was wondering about that Doc the other day as well. I have no idea what he could have said that was so important for Rick not to share after all this time. I'm thinking maybe he told them where to go next (they were looking for a Fort or safety), but when finding out Lori was pregnant Rick decided it better to hole-up in the farm for a while. That all would actually make some sense - so he's being selfish withholding from the group where to go.

TVLINE | Shane turning into a zombie in the end pretty much confirms that everyone’s already infected. Can you confirm that that’s what Jenner whispered in Rick’s ear?
[Hesitates] Well, I can’t confirm that. But what I can say is that Shane turning after being stabbed definitely does inform Rick revealing what Jenner whispered, in the next episode.

    oh... and this:

TVLINE | Will there be another major death next week?
I can say that the cast that enters the final episode this season does not leave the final episode intact. And there are a lot of surprises still yet to come.

Well, if you remember, when they went back looking for Merle (Daryl's brother) they found on the stove what looked to be evidence that he had cotterized the wound. So he may not have lost enough blood to die and turn.
