Sure, it doesn't change anything for them personally, but knowing you could eventually end up killing one of the group might be too much to take, especially if you were already thinking of ending it all (a la Andrea).
But they take that risk every day. You're projecting an assumption they just suddenly turn, while living. I get your thought process, but you're ignoring that they only turn AFTER dying.

Any of these people who were going to end life "on their own terms" would be doing so because of the much greater and obvious threat of the zombies. You can't ignore the great risk they've already chosen to accept. This news changes nothing.

It plunges into the 50's. They might even need to wear jackets.

Watch the writers try to get too creative with it. "Oh, they'll have an unseasonably cold winter; 20s, ice, and snow EVERYDAY!"

They set that up already when Rick and Shane were talking about how cold it was last winter, they said it was below freezing a lot! lol

How did we let this leave the 1st page?

That's why they had to get rid of Shane. That's too cold for shirtless scenes.

And let's not forget the foreshadowing of Herschel stocking up "enough food for a couple of days". Way to fortify to hold out, old man!

They could be like most southerners. They'll get 3 inches of snow and think it's snowmageden.

I have not read the graphic novel (comic books), do they ever leave Georgia? I thought the comic books took place in Kentucky maybe?

Nevermind, just researched it and they do leave and end up near D.C.! Why would you go to DC? I would rather fight zombie hordes than surviving politicians! lol

The Walking Dead video game teaser trailer:

    http://www.ign.com/videos/2012/03/15/the-walking-dead-the-game-teaser-trailer

Gameplay trailer is supposed to be released on Monday.

Graphics look cell shaded, which keeps the comic feel... Kind of like Borderlands in a way...

Be interesting to see what kind of game it turns out to be.

I hope the game lets you blow Carl away right off the bat.

And I'm probably going to shoot some people for sport, so Dale will have to go, too.

    I'll play it

Meh. I've been spoiled by L4D. I'm sure it won't be as good as that.

    I enjoyed L4D, but L4D2 was a major letdown.

Dead Island had great potential, but ultimately was too buggy and the multiplayer was all over the place.

IMO, the best zombie game available on PS3/360 is one that wasn't originally a zombie game... I've enjoyed playing RDR: Undead Nightmare much more than just about all the others.

I also don't think The Walking Dead game is going to be major release... I believe it's just a Live/PSN game that's going to feature several "episodes" that continues the story. It's also based on a new character and not Rick and the gang.

The secret will be that Shane was the father of the baby. Taking blood tests from everyone could tell that CDC doctor and he told Rick as a heads up. It'll probably come to light because she'll lose the baby in the action tonight and then say something to Rick like 'we lost our baby' or something and he'll look at her and say 'I didn't lose anything, it was Shane's.'

If the secret is that when you die you become a zombie, I may stop watching because if any of these retards ever watched night of the living dead they'd know thats how zombies work. It shouldn't be a shock.

That's actually a pretty good theory. I was going to say why would Rick ever reveal that, but you offered a plausible scenario. I just don't think Rick could be so callous, plus it would then raise questions of whether he killed Shane in cold-blood.

Here's a spin for you: Laurie may have already lost the baby - that car accident was pretty traumatic and could have easily have caused a miscarriage. But she hasn't miscarried - well, we [they] now know how the virus works turning you after you die, meaning she's carrying a zombie fetus.

That's a really good idea. Where have I heard that before? Oh ya, that's right...

But when the baby dies in the womb, it turns and Lori is forced to carry it through and has to give birth to a zombie baby. When it's born, Rick has to shoot the baby in the head, and Lori is so distraught she kills herself.

LOL....I think you were responding to my original suggestion that Lori could have a zombie baby.

Problem is, as far as I can tell, is the body ceases to grow and develop (well, they ARE dead)...so I'm not sure how she carries a zombie baby to term when it would stop developing after dying. Speaking of which, where are all the fat/overweight zombies? Do they eventually die from starvation or go into some sort of hibernation mode?

    Who's going to die tonight?

It looks like Herschel is gone

I could see any of the following getting killed off tonight
    T Dogg
    Carol
    Glenn
    Andrea
    Maggie

As far as the CDC scientist, I wonder if he told Rick one or more (maybe all?) of them were infected, but neither he nor Rick knew what that meant. Because it doesn't seem true that dying means you automatically become a zombie, at least not in the early days, because we've seen plenty of dead bodies - as recently as that highway scene when Sophia ran off - that had no hole in the head but were clearly dead and not zombies.

Seems like it had to have been airborne in the early days to create the widespread breakout. But at least early variants of the virus must not have turned all the dead into zombies. It would follow, possibly, that future variants could eventually turn the living.

I hope we will learn tonight what CDC scientist told Rick. There's a couple of problems with it being simply airborne or that they were all infected. If Rick chose not to share then, for whatever reason, what has really changed now that he would share that? Also, Rick seemed legitimately stumped about the zombies they were finding with no bite marks or scratches. Maybe he was just playing dumb. I think whatever the CDC told Rick he must not have known what to make of it, and Shane was the confirming "second half" of that. Being told only that the virus was airborne and/or that they were infected would fit with all that.

Glenn. I think Glenn and T-Dogg. For no real reason... just a hunch

I think T-Dogg is safe. Glenn & Maggie gives them future soap-opera material, and can also play in nicely to the governor plot. Andrea is probably safe - she's an important character in the comic, I believe.

Carol is an odds-on favorite to go. Agree with Herschel as well - he could die from a heart attack or more likely choosing to stay to fight for his farm or cover them while the others escape. I think his daughter (?), the one who tried to commit suicide, goes and then with his wife and daughter gone Herschel gives up.

Otis' wife is also a safe bet to go.

Lori's baby is more smart money. But I think Lori herself sticks around so the writers can manufacture a few shows' worth of drama, at least, around that.

The director addressed the highway scene. The people mostly died from from head trauma.. The ones who didn't were walkers.

Also, it's 100% that dying turns you into a zombie. There is no if's ands or buts about it.
