That would be a little too way unbelievable. I'd settle for a nice shovel to the face or pick-ax to the head.

I'm not sure about the rumors of the Governor plot. But that seems like it would be an ideal role for Shane. They could disappear him but not write him off and leave the possibility of him coming back in that role open. The rumors of Shane dying (well, apparently aside from the books) seem to be based on him being wanted for another show. But the way AMC runs these shows I think it's fairly doable to do two shows, especially if you are talking about something that might only be a 4-5 show story arc.

The Governor plot is taking place in S3 but an actor has already been hired for the role. It wouldn't have made sense for Shane to become the Governor and if you don't know why, you'll find out.

Also, fuck you guys, Shane dies in the comic by the hands of Carl after Shane tries killing Rick...

However, the show has steered off enough from the comic to keep me guessing.. For instance, Dale doesn't die until much later, at a different location, after getting his leg severed. We all know he just died at the farm though.

What is the Governor plot? I guess if it is for sure happening I don't want to know.

For those interested in what the Governor plot is:

[SP]In a nutshell The Governor is the leader of a large group of survivors and in Season 3 of The Walking Dead he will bring pain and suffering to the Grimes family and Rick will regret the day that they ever crossed paths.
This is of course assuming that the series continues to at least loosely follow the graphic novels that it is based off of. There has been alot of internet speculation that although The Governor will appear in the next season of Walking Dead he will not have the same role as he did in the graphic novels. The Governor was such a popular character from The Walking Dead series that the graphic novels creator Robert Kirkman did a book entirely for him titled The Walking Dead: Rise of the Governor.

    [/SP]

I don't think it's any thing major in terms of spoiling, but just in case you don't want to know anything. The "spoiler" I posted is from some Walking Dead wiki

This season definitely picked up from what it was back in the fall. That was an intense way for Dale to die... Very Zombie movie esque if you know what I mean.

I am glad Dale is off the show. His character was holding the group back. I think, in the context of the show, there is only a certain amount of humanity and civility you can keep in a zombie ruled world.

The one thing I wasn't a fan of was how the zombie ripped his guts open. Give me a break. Everyone knows zombies have little stregth unless they are in a group. So for Dale to not be able to toss the zombie off of him was stupid. Also, the writer of this episodes explanation of how the walker could rip open Dale's stomach was idiotic.

I'll agree it was a little cheezy, but if that one walker could maul that cow, it's not THAT unbelievable.

That was the other thing, no way that walker mauls a loose cow. Walkers are not fast, cows can run faster than a walker. I just felt they got a little sloppy with the writing there. In the context of the show, it makes no sense.

The one thing I remember from this series is during the first or second episode in downtown Atlanta. For the first time, I saw zombies run and be somewhat intelligent. If the cow was sleeping, I could see a walker biting it, especially having his lips removed for extra mobility.

Yeah, first real zombie scene that felt "cheesy" in the way the victim was mauled. That zombie was thin as a rail and wasn't moving very fast.

The moment afterwards was awesome, however.

I agree that the way the director explained it was a bit stupid as well.. Claiming the walkers' fingers was pretty much bone and that he was just scratching and tearing at the skin.

They just wanted to get some guts in there.

Personally, I think it would have been better if the zombie just feasted on Dale's back.

I'll agree to that; or even biting through his stomach.

agree terrible special effects on this . that zombie could not even get out of the mudd yet it put down a cow and clawed through a mans chest . . Dale should have been able to throw the thing off him . ,or atleast not be clawed open .
