The Walking Dead (tv show)

gorocks99They gotta leave this farm, need a direction. Also, that ending was weird.
-
dwccrewExcellent episode. The Rick/Shane thing is going to come to a head. I agree that they will have to leave the farm soon enough and I trust the writers of the show to get that to happen. Maybe that was the point of introducing this new group or this young kid that was injured.

hoops23The writer said towards the last few episodes of this season and the first few episodes of next season there will be a lot of zombie action..
As it is, tonight's episode was excellent. -

t dog is my second favorite character on the show, because he doesn't have many lines and isn't annoying as shit like almost everyone else
rick is a vagina and can't make the tough decisions to save people's lives. -
SnotBubblesMuch better episode. Someone is due to die soon.
What's going on with Darrel? I like the guy, most likable on the show, but he's on the verge of batshit crazy....I don't have a good feeling about it. -
KR1245Good episode.
Shane will be dead by the end of the season. I'm tired of Dale and Glen is turning into a huge vag -
ThinthickbigredThe old man that runs the farm is a effing asshole what a beeaaattch ... first keeping them zombies in the barn and saying no weapons allowed . then after going off getting drunk all them guys who went after him could have been killed. Them lori goes off and wrecks ... all of this because of some stupid old man . .. I dont undersatnd why they didnt take them people from inside the bar back to the farm either .. "Strength in numbers" again because of that old man .. that dude is the biggest problem

They just wanted to go to the farm to rob them and take all their stuff -
Thinthickbigred
I saw that but my take was at first they just wanted to get together and pull resourses. Rick protecting the old man's wishes kept putting them guys off and refusing to take them back . The guy then got stupid . My first instinct would be to get as much fire power together and eliminate all zombies in a wide area and develope a perimiter . Id be sending 3 men units out and finding ammo and then going out and killing as many zombies off as possible . Sooner or later your going to clear a larg area of them . They move slow and when a few more get into your area you kill them off too . Id have alot of fun killing zombies but Id be loaded for bear2quik4u;1091102 wrote:Did u see not the guy in the bar pull his gun on rick?

gutAn excellent episode, for a change. That's how you portray the human condition in a way that's new, interesting and relevant to the show.
I love Darryl's character. Easily the most complex, but also the most realistic. Rick is undergoign some development, too. But the reason most of the other characters are annoying is they're tiresome - no growth or development. Shane has been bat shit crazy almost forever now and Dale is just a naive dickhead. Those two are at opposite extremes, Rick stays pretty balanced, and Darryl is about the only guy that moves significantly along that line.
Shane isn't always wrong, but he is a problem. Unfortunately for Rick, I'm not sure how many that would choose sides would side with him over Shane.
In an ideal world, Dale shoots Shane critically wounding him, but Shane is able to put one in Dale's head before he dies. -

Perhaps. But we don't really know how many people that farm can support. In any environment, there's an optimal, sustainable balance between what can be supported and how many peoou need for the division of labor.Thinthickbigred;1091418 wrote:I saw that but my take was at first they just wanted to get together and pull resourses.
I think the bigger problem is taking in a large group of people you know nothing about can become a threat to your band and your leadership. You'd probably love to join with a group of 20 Rick's, but what if it's a group of 20 Shane's? Their desperation is certainly an indicator they are more likely to be like Shane. If they had something to contribute, something equally worth protecting, they would - like Rick - not be so quick to want to share. -

Those guys were scavengers. So unless you're sitting on, well, a huge farm, they're a problem. But I'd have to agree that ultimately you need a militia because there clearly is more threat than just zombies. Why it cracks me up when the old man keeps saying "it's MY farm". So sue me. Call the cops. Tough shit, dude, survival of the fittest. -
Thinthickbigred^^^^ Yea the old man is just a drag on common sense . he can stick it somewhere . You cant make them go and why would you? The farm looks pretty sustainable . They were killing chickens and feeding them to the zombies in the barn . what loons . Grab your sack and man up its time for survival .. I would get as much ammo and guns and what not and develope a perimitar . Id send hunting groups out to kill as many zombies as possible . they have plenty of transportaion . I would try and clense atleast a 3 mile radius around that farm from zombies . They should have a major battle plan if they get into trouble with many zombies . Automatic rifles M16's if you could get them . Its a great show im enjoying it .

I Wear PantsI was wrong, Dale isn't an asshole I was thinking of Daryl.

ThinthickbigredI dont follow names that well ,but the old man Dale is a romantic and lives in a dreamworld . He needs to not be so judgmental . the deputy Shane that is kinda a renegade might not be that bad he jsust needs reigned in a little bit . If he is on your side you are in . If your like that one dude that he didnt know that welll ,then its survival of the fittest . The ear collector could definitly be the guy you want on your side because he can kill with stealth and is a good hunter . Only if he can get his head out from his ass and stop feeling sorry for hisself . Alot of self pitty going around . Definitly a night time soap for men . I really dont know why the deputy doesnt get over the married wife of the other cop . He already tapped that hot blonde . Chit stay with that piece of ass ,she is better looking and alot less to deal with . As long as you can keep her serogot father Dale from being up your pooper 24-7 .
The old man that runs the farm has one major plus and thats being a vet doctor . He has about 10 negitive things and maybe he needs put down .
Great show. Im betting they kill off the black man T-Dog as his role is limited ,although they may keep him and we will all call him Token black man . Unless his charachter builds . We will see. -
Fab1bI actually like Shane but Rick is about to go crazy on his ass

Rick has been the man. Doesn't make tough decisions? Dude killed two of the living without batting an eye. Shane is about self-preservation, not about saving the group. That is what he has based his decisions on, what will help Shane out the most. Whereas Rick has made decisions to save others, not just himself. Is this really even debateable?2quik4u;1090844 wrote:gtfoh, dale is a piece of ****, trying to get everyone to hate shane

Exactly. Shane isn't good for the group in the long run. He's selfish as hell and has no problem killing people.dwccrew;1091990 wrote:Rick has been the man. Doesn't make tough decisions? These discussions also prove that the show is doing it's job. Check out twitter during an episode and look at the hashtag #TheWalkingDead and you see people arguing about Rick and Shane...
You pretty much nailed it though. Shane is about himself and possibly those he has feelings for such as Laurie and Andrea... He couldn't care less about the rest of the group though.
Rick is for everybody, regardless of where they stand. He looks to do the best and make the most rational decisions. -
AutomatikRick bout to get gully on Shane's punkass!
