It's usually a long wait for a table.

It's a pretty big place. I guess it matters what time of the day you get there.

That was from Saturday! Went to Ratebeer Fest, got to try at least 40 beers ( I definitely missed some) with small pours. Was fucking awesome, but knocked me of my ass. Went to bed at 8 pm and woke up at 8 am the next day. Can't even remember the last time I slept past 7, it's been a long time.

I've never been a fan of Blue Moon, but they're doing some weird styles these days, so I thought I'd try their Cappuccino Oatmeal Stout.

Tastes pretty good. However, the gravity is low for a stout (5.9%), and it's too thin for a stout (more like a porter).

I'd drink it again if it was on the table, but I don't think I'd buy it for myself.

Impromptu trip to The Anderson's before they close up shop

[FONT=&quot]Pat-ASK-ala? Pata-SKALA? Pa-TASK-a-la? While those in the know favor the third pronunciation, no matter how you say it, this is a unique red IPA. The beer was first brewed in September 2015 to support music and arts education programs in Pataskala, Ohio, where Stone co-founder Greg Koch grew up. People there loved it, so we added the beer to our seasonal lineup. The deep crimson hue is courtesy of a fairly new special German malt variety by BESTMALZ called Red X. Dry-hopped with Mosaic, Cascade and Amarillo hops, this beer is incredibly citrus-forward, rounded out with biscuit and toffee notes. We think you’ll find this red IPA to be quite deliciously satisfying, no matter how you choose to pronounce it.

Anyone else try this? Kinda sweet and "flowery" tasting. Not as bitter as I normally like.

Had an R. Shea Chocolate Coffee Stout last night. It's a new, fairly small brewery in Akron.

Based on the two beers I've had from there, though, it might be one of my favorites.

Damn sounds good. Going to add it to the list to check out for next time I'm in Ohio.

R Shea is great, and they recently started offering food from Diamond Deli, which is the best sandwich place in Akron.

Oh, and I am on the hunt for Rhinegeist Bubbles in cans. Hopefully I find it this weekend.

Damn, someone was on a bender yesterday!

    Good Morning.

Drinking a Stone Pataskala Red IPA right now. Kinda cool that Stone has a Licking County connection. Good beer, too.

Where you get that? Great price.

I have some in my garage fridge right now that was 8.99 for a six pack.

It's not always that cheap, but Harris Teeter has most 12 packs (sams, new Belgium, Sierra Nevada, etc) for 13.99 most weeks. I thought Torpedo was a deal at that price, so the ranger is legit

Finally got our beer bottled from what we made at the Brew Kettle. Taking the 12 pack out to my brother & sister-in-laws for a gift.

What style, and did you try it?

    Just tried Wild Blue Lager.

Tastes like blueberry ass. I don't know how anyone drinks this.
