On a side note a friend of mine bought 8 Cases of Musk of the Minotaur by Hoof Hearted.

Thats crazy, didn't see that one coming. If you follow the owner on twitter (he's nuts), you'd think there was no chance of this ever happening.

I used to follow him a while back and yes he is nuts. I blame years of abuse brought on by another 'Hop relative'.

I know he's been approached before by other Big Beers in the past about buying him out and even went on twitter about it.

He say's he not selling out. He makes this sounds it's more along the line of getting His beer global. He chose Heineken since they are still family owned/run and they do use Malt in their beers. Also they know about some of his misguidings in the past and are cool with it, being headquartered in Amsterdam and all. ;)

Had a 6er of Rivertown Pumpkin Ale last weekend. Another great batch this 2015 season!

Better cross Lagunitas off your list.

I've been sneaking some beers in here and there. Trying to cut back during my workouts but it's hard to do, especially during this time of year!! I've got 4 bottles of pumking and warlock to smash!!!!

Picked up a growler of Spooky Tooth and some Shipyard Smashed Pumpkin tonight.
  • sportchampps
Okay what's everyone's favorite Pumpkin beers. I'm a big fan of spooky tooth but I'd still pick Warlock or Pumking. Where I bartend we have Spooky Tooth Shipyard Dogfish Head and New Holland Icabod Crane on draft and I would rank them Fathead New Holland Dogfish and then Shipyard.

Most dissapointing so fast is Pumpcan by Zmadtree. I love every beer I've had by then except this one. BTW Whole Foods at Rastin has Growlers if Oumking for $16

Schlafly is pretty good. I hadn't heard of it until this year.

This isn't a much better contribution than my normal cider talk but the Coney Island hard root beer is one of my favorite drinks now. Tastes just like root beer, fantastic.

I had one of these the other night. I like it better than Not Your Father's. While Coney Islands was sweet, it still had a slight beer flavor to it. Unlike the Not Your Father's that was way sweeter.

I still have to try Mission Root Beer.

I believe that I had Mission a couple months ago and wasn't a fan of it. And I like both NYF's and Coney Island. Mission just tasted different than the other two, and not in a good way.

meh' not bad. Its a porter. Tad heavy. Kinda sweet. Fully taste the peanut butter and chocolate. More smooth, less bite. All the hipster nerds in Yellow Springs were commenting on it while I was in line. hmpf

    Bells kalamazoo stout A+
  • sherm03
Picked up two bottles of Stuff today. It's a new collaboration brew between Listermann and Hoppin' Frog. It's an imperial stout and is fantastic. Definitely a dessert sipper. But I'm a fan.
