Got into an undercover shutdown ale by Lagunitas last night. Pretty damn good, nice tropical/citrus hoppy aroma.

One of these days I'll brew some beer there.
Completely forgot I posted on this thread until COA bumped it up. Brewing the beer was fun and you were spot on about the food. In honor of Joe Thomas I had the Wisconsin Brat Burger. They are supposed to go over, bottle & label the beer on Monday 4/20. The kind my team made was called Vienna Ale, I believe. My boss originally was going to choose a beer to make called "Big Woody" but I told him there was no way I was telling someone to put the "Big Woody in their mouth."

We are pairing off in teams of 3-4 and making 3 batches of homemade beer. I guess we have to wait 3-4 weeks for it to be done but it should yield about a case/case and a half for each person. My nephews and my girlfriend's sons are going to get some freebies.
    How is your brew coming?

Anyone in the Dayton area, doing a show at Star City Brewing tonight. You should come check it out. They have a good lineup on tap: Viking Cream, Weizen Star, Legend Red, Peerless Pub Ale, Hippa IPA, Dry Lock IPA, and Old Mil Stout.

Cincy snobs, Mt. Carmel is opening up for our show tomorrow night.

Ever tried Tighthead Brewing co? From North side chi-town.

Shiner has a new Prickly Pear, had it last night...not bad. Not much "prickly pear" taste, seems more of an amber taste to me.

Any of you guys interested in previewing a beer podcast? Looking for maybe 3-4 people to give a listen and give some honest feedback. Shoot me a PM if you're interested.

Tried a White Zombie white ale today (Catawba Valley Brewing co.) like a good tasting Bud/Busch lite with water added....zero taste and if an IPA fan you'll be let down.

As for needing mass quantity of beer in a can, it'll work.

Should be getting the beer we made delivered to my work tomorrow. They are bottling it tonight.

Went here on Saturday for a few minutes: http://www.bigbeaverbrew.com/

Not bad. Had a Juicy Peach Ale.

Had a few different beers while in Nashville over the weekend. Stuck mainly to liquor but did have a nice 3 pepper ale from Rock Bottom Brewery. Nice Jalapeno notes.

Got the beer this morning. Thought we were getting 36 twelve ounce bottle but instead got 18 twenty-two ounce bottles. Damn things look like a Colt 45 forty.

Took some beer out to my nephews house (traded for maple syrup as he has a sugar shack) and got a thumbs up on the Vienna Ale and the Amber Ale we made. Nephew told me my older brother was really into craft beers and how they are made. We may be making another trip up there for his birthday.

    Yes. So fucking delicious.

A friend "one-upped" my rootbeer brew.....showed me this pic. Apparently his dad hooked him up for the holiday weekend.

    Anyone ever had Abraxas?
  • Commander of Awesome
Yeah I've had it. Was decent but not worth $25! But I'm not a chili in my beer kind of guy.
  • Uz2Bon36
God damn you could get drunk really easy on the nyf rootbeer. It's like drinking regular soda pop rootbeer.

If you can get your hands on anything Straight to Ale from Huntsville Al you'll be very happy. Hammered 3 cases on vacation. The milk stout, the IPA and the German ale is amazing.
