This was exactly what I thought about it. I was lucky enough to try it last night.Mooney44Cards;1705852 wrote:Pliny is as good as advertised. Not like life changing but like easily one of the best beers you'll ever have and one of the best IPAs especially.
We didn't have an awful beer all night. I was super impressed by the Dragonsaddle Triple IPA by Hoof Hearted...Yea it sounds like Who Farted. It was easily the best beer of the night when it came to IPAs.
Bourbon County Brand Coffee Stout was incredible as well. -
Curly JGoon what's your name on Untappd...or easier yet add me. I'm Weecejr on there. Lots of people in this thread are on there. Even ETB who joined then decided not to drink beers for a while...SMH

O-TrapNew Belgium Rampant (Imperial IPA)
For the price ($3.25 per bomber), it's pretty damn solid. I wouldn't be putting it up against the Maharaja or anything, but the quality is better than the price tag indicates. That seems to be the trend across most of New Belgium's beers. They're not the creme de la creme in any category, but for the price, they almost always satisfy in quality. -
Commander of AwesomeHad a Delusion tonight from Greenbush. Anyone try this, it's pretty damn amazing.

Not a fan of Rampant I must say. Not sure why, but it doesn't do it for me in the hops department, drinks like peppery pinesol or something. I agree on the NB price/quality though, very tough to beat.O-Trap;1709536 wrote:New Belgium Rampant (Imperial IPA)

Fab4RunnerDo you snobs hate Sam Adams? I don't feel like reading through this thread to find out. I could take or leave their beverages, but we are thinking about doing the brewery tour when we go to Boston. Our townhouse is in the same neighborhood where it's located.

There are a few of their beers I enjoy, but by and large they make a lot of mediocre stuff. It's miles and miles better than ABInBev stuff or MillerCoors stuff but that's not saying much. It doesn't help that Jim Koch hates IPAs and only recently agreed to begrudgingly brew a few. They still suck.Fab4Runner;1712046 wrote:Do you snobs hate Sam Adams? The kinda started the micro and then got left behind as they became too big, always available, not really good stuff you would find at a good tap house.Fab4Runner;1712046 wrote:Do you snobs hate Sam Adams? I'd take the tour if I was in Boston. -
gerb131
Take the tour for sure. I like Sam Adams they just tried too hard with some of their offerings.Fab4Runner;1712046 wrote:Do you snobs hate Sam Adams?
