Zags look good. Sabonis's Dad was a stud way before his term in the NBA

A good win for UVA. Hard to ever root against Butler
No, I agree. The second half was fun. I just always root for Butler in the tournament and whenever a team that I don't want to win is winning I want to tear all of their spleens out.

I've liked Butler since the days of Darnell Archey in the early 2000s, when he led the Bulldogs on a "Cinderella" run to the Sweet 16. Butler is about as close to a real life Hickory in college basketball as it gets and I think it would be so awesome if they were to ever get back and win the national championship. If Brad Stevens were still at the helm, I think this team would have played on Monday Night.

Rooting against teams takes up too much energy. If a big shot is getting greatly tested by a lesser team I'll hope and root for it to happen but just assume the powerhouses to prevail...when they do it's magical and when they win, oh well figured they were anyways.

One of my all-time favorite players. Arvydas was one of a kind. There will never again be a center of his size and grace. He was a guard in a 7-3 body.

Virginia/Butler would certainly not qualify as "big shot" vs "lesser team"

Looks like there's gonna be at least 1 double digit seed in the Elite 8, barring a massive Gonzaga meltdown.

I absolutely despise the inconsistency of this North Carolina team. Up 21-14 and Dunn goes to the bench for Providence with two fouls. What happens? 8-0 run for Providence to lead 22-21. Is it really that difficult to play hard for 40 damn minutes? Drives me insane!

Wasn't really trying to say that. UVA is one of the better teams in the tournament though and Butler was a 9 seed. Most folks had UVA winning.

How many teams remaining in the tournament are better than Gonzaga?

Pac 12 looking great ha ha

Has a #3 seed ever tailed by 30 in the tournament?

Utah goes 5-2 over their last 7 games with a -23 point differential. That seems difficult to accomplish.

I'm glad this is a good game but worry about my Tar Heel loving friend

How you holding up 02? I think they'll pull ahead as this half moves on.

Pretty pissed off at the moment, as you can imagine. They're gonna screw around and Dunn/Bentil are gonna send them home.

    I know you believe this.

I don't think Providence can keep up this entire half.

    This game is ova.

8 point lead with Brice shooting a FT. Now is the time to FINISH them!! We'll see if they do.

Here's the dangerous spurt the Carolinas and Kansas teams can do....danger time for Providence. If UNC stays on the peddle they can make this pretty uninteresting by the 8:00 break.

Hicks is so much better than Meeks every time I see UNC play. I don't get what Meeks brings that he's still a starter.
  • Ironman92
    Lol at the flop
  • ironman02
I see that Providence likes to play Duke basketball.

That LeVine/Gordon/Johnson dunk contest next year will be fun.

Hicks fouls...A LOT. But, yes, he's so much better than Meeks. I've never seen a 6'9" guy play as small as Meeks does. He has a pretty decent jumper from 10-15 feet, so he should use it since he can never get a shot off around the rim.

At least no one had gotten tripped or elbowed in the face.

Bentil and Dunn are just ridiculous.
