  This conversation happens every year. A conference goes 7-2 through the first week and everyone creams over the conference. The other conferences hover around .500 and everyone says they suck.
  
  Fact is, most conferences have a top team, maybe two. They rise to the elite eight, the other teams lose at some point. If they have good first and second round matchups, that conference will look better than others with not-so-good matchups.
  
  Those facts don't make me change my mind and say that 5 months of a regular season is meaningless and that a conference that was clearly the top (this year the big 12) is now an embarrassment because their 6th best team lost in an 8/9 game.

  Big 12 is doing just fine, though Baylor and WVU played like dog crap.
  
  Is it true no big 12 team has reached the elite 8 in the last 3 years? That is so hard to believe.

  That is true. Hard to believe. But usually the big 12 is Kansas from the elite eight on, and Kansas hasn't made the sweet sixteen in 4 years, so that will do it lol

  Good lord. Sorry that I brought up that the ACC is doing well.
  
  IF ND and Syracuse win today, they would have 6 teams in the Sweet 16, which has never happened before. I wasn't implying that everyone else sucks. The PAC 12 apparently does, but like Ironman92 said, most of the best teams in each conference are doing pretty well.
