Well the services are picking OSU for Henderson.

The boards, full of people like us, create situations to fit our teams wishes. Of course Henderson is taking the ACT to get a higher score for ND to accept him lol.

Like you said earlier, its already been posted in this thread.

Both Scout guys had Henderson to OSU and Rivals also has Henderson going to OSU at the moment. And those guys know a lot more about these players recruiting processes than we do.

I'll admit they know more than me, but they've also been wrong before. I'll beleive Hendo to OSU when I see it on Signing day.

    I will too.

And yes they have been wrong before, even we have, but I'll take those people who do this stuff for a living over any so called internet insider posting on a message board.

BTW I have no info leading me to believe any of my predictions will in fact be true, they're all just gut feelings at this point.

    irony.

anyways, like i have said before i dont care if he goes to ohio state. id rather he commit there then florida or usc, however, i do believe he will go to notre dame if he gets the score/the grades.

the key factors in all this are A) immediate playing time and B) his good friend Michael Floyd

    it will be interesting,...

ETA: i have no desire to *make shit up* on this board as others might feel so inclined (cough, cough)

    My gut feelings are this:
    Henderson to OSU
    Bryant to OSU
    Brown to OSU
    James to ND
Hicks (UT/OSU/FL), Louis (OSU plan B/UF plan a if room), Moses are all toss ups I could see going to different places.
  • OneBuckeye
I think Moses is going to OSU. FWIW

I just don't have a good feeling about this class.

It's already "bad" in terms of rankings, and some people on here are feeling the ole "finish strong" mindset, but Tressel is terrible in january/february in terms of recruiting, so there is no indication he will pick up Henderson, Hicks, etc.

I just think this will be a down year for recruiting, which is fine considering our team next year is loaded, so I don't see any big time recruits committing to OSU from now til signing day, unfortunately.

I say we get Moses and one other guy not named Henderson or Hicks.

I hope he gets Henderson... we need to get that kid

Is Bryant announcing his decision tomorrow?

    yes he is at 3:00.

Thanks. Hope it's a good day for the Buckeyes, but I know he really loved his visit to Carolina.

My money is still on OSU.
  • OneBuckeye
Well word is now Moses might have to go back to Fork Union as his scores may not be up to par yet. That would be a huge blow because I think we need to take 3 lineman.

What do these mouthbreathers do for four years of high school that they can't get into a good college.

Actually what are the coaches and teachers doing that is keeping these guys from getting the grades/scores. I coach track down here at a medium sized high school (2000+). From the time these kids are freshmen in the program, a coach is assigned to not only keep the kid eligible but to make sure his course of study and work ethic match his university goals. The ACT and the SAT are not difficult tests. I tell my athletes that a 22 and a 1800 are bare minimums.

There are no excuses....athletes do your school work....coaches make sure you do your job and prepare the kid for life after his high school eligibility.

Some people aren't raised in a conductive atmosphere for education and therefore it is very hard for them later in life. Also some people just aren't that smart. I am not sure how much effort these kids put into their studies but I am willing to be that Morgan Moses put more than he ever has into his studies while at Fork Union and he just can't make it.

Come on pal. Just because your school does ok with what they are doing, doesn't mean every school or student can do the same. Everyone comes from a different background. Every school has different resources. Some don't have what others have. Some have more, etc, etc.
And, the ACT and SAT are in fact, NOT easy. A 22 is a decent score. And NOT all students are capable of doing that.
And, bottom line is this...the coaches, teachers and schools get the finger pointed at them WAY too much...when in fact, the most important impact with a student is the FAMILY and how they were brought up to VALUE and education...or not. Once a kid makes it to HS...you can't easily change habits they have learned the past 14/15yrs, good or bad.

^^^ Totally agree Parents are a lot more responsible for their childs education than anyone else is.

    1) This class is bad rankings wise because they can't take in 25-28 players like SEC teams or other teams with more scholarships.

    2) Tressel isn't known for finishing but he has before and it was the top prospect in the country.

    3) Do you not consider Christian Bryant to be a big time recruit? 10th rated CB in the country.
  • devil1197
Also, Bryant would be a huge commitment to get the ball rolling imo.

Brown met with OSU coaches and I believe that Tressel told the kid what he didn't want to here. Brown wants to play QB (can't throw worth anything) and that isn't going to happen at OSU for him.
