College Basketball Random Chatter 2015-2016 Season

This Seton Hall team has a similar feel to 2011 Connecticut, with Isaiah Whitehead and Khadeen Carrington playing the roles of Kemba Walker and Jermey Lamb. Whitehead is just carrying The Hall through this tournament. Pirate basketball is alive again.

Best conference in the country and we have to suffer through Brent Musberger smh

I am so tired of watching players throw their heads back on plays where they aren't being touched even close to the head. Happens so often now.

Thank god he and Dick Vitale are no longer ABC's leading college basketball team. I can't believe they used to be assigned to the Duke-North Carolina game together. To their credit, the two were a pretty decent team 15 years ago, but they belong in a nursing home now. Pull the fucking plug, ESPN, and just let them die.

Nova and Hall looks like it might go to the wire. The Wildcats are in the middle of a big run. This game leaves me pining for vintage Big East basketball. At least some of the teams are still together so games like this can happen.

Gus may have let his excitement get the best of him there. He just screamed "Jenkins for the win!" when Nova took a shot down one with 8 seconds left.

    Nova rounding into tournament form.

    Seton Hall pull it out

Lol I noticed that. Cracked me up. It's Gus so I just let it slide.

Pretty impressive last month by Seton Hall. Entire starting 5 are Sophomores. Could be really dangerous in the next year or two.

Seton Hall players have torn the Big East decal off the floor and are hoisting it above their heads. Creighton is also in that conference. Calm down.

Still awesome to see The Hall back in the college basketball spotlight. That was a great game.

Not quite the old school BE, but The Hall vs Nova brings back memories from early 90's.

Hoping Fresno State can pull it out. Would like to see a great player like Marvelle Harris in the dance. SDSU already in.

That game on anywhere? WVU hanging tough with Kansas.

    CBS.

Hoping Hawaii gets it done tonight. They're a good basketball team. Jankovich is a really good player. The women just punched their ticket, hoping the men follow suit.

I think SDSU is in trouble. The MWC was garbage this year. They only have 3 top 100 wins.
  • Azubuike24
SDSU should be in trouble but again, people are wanting fucking Monmouth in. They should get in with 25 wins.

Yeah idk if they will get it. Selection Sunday is going to be interesting.

In a season where there supposedly wasn't any great teams, Kansas sneaked in a 30-4 regular season record in one of the better conferences in some time. They've got to be the clear cut favorite to cut down the nets next month.

    It's raining 3's in the Q.

After the past week, I concur with the popular sentiment of Kansas being the national title favorite. They are as solid a team as there is out there.

Other takeaways from Championship Week: Connecticut is doing it again. There isn't a Kemba Walker or Shabazz Napier on this squad, but what the Huskies lack in star power they make up for in balance. And they have that in spades. Led by Rodney Purvis, four guys average 12 or more points per game. A national title is probably not in the cards this time around, but I would not want to encounter UConn in, say, the Sweet 16 if I were a 2 or 3 seed (assuming the Huskies land on the 10 or 11 line).

And Seton Hall will go as far as Isaiah Whitehead wills them to go. He is the kind of talent that could lead a school that would otherwise have no business being there all the way to Monday night. Centered around Whitehead, Seton Hall has enough talent to embark on a serious run.

Agree with you, but we've seen Kansas bow out when they're a favorite before.

They are deep and seem to have multiple people stepping up though. A match up with msu or unc would be awesome in final 4.

Akron is fun to watch when they are hot. The Zips make the second most threes per game in the country at 11.7 per contest.
