College Basketball Random Chatter 2015-2016 Season

slingshot4everEvery other wooden finalist would say "yes" apparently as they are all still eligible. I cannot remember a time that a wooden finalist was deemed ineligible for the award.
-
slingshot4everAnd yes, I am saying most wooden finalists go on to make good money in NBA...at least through rookie contract

ironman02Northern Iowa gets the friendly bounce to beat Evansville 56-54 at the buzzer to win the MVC.
NIU blew a 17 point 2nd half lead before pulling out the win. -
friendfromlowryAlready sick of the BW3s commercial with the Kentucky and Wisconsin fans.
-
ironman02UNC-Asheville just punched their ticket with a win over Winthrop. Four auto bids locked in so far.
Yale - Ivy League
Austin Peay - Ohio Valley
Northern Iowa - Missouri Valley
UNC-Asheville - Big South -
Azubuike24Simmons isn't stupid, he just doesn't give a shit about LSU and probably is going to skip out on class right after March, if he already hasn't. It will ding their APR, but I doubt he really cares.
With that said, the classes that basketball players take in their first 2 years are a joke and you should be able to get a 2.0 just by attending. -
Azubuike24Rumor also has it that Simmons has skipped all classes this semester, so he would've been ineligible for his Sophomore year anyway. LSU's APR will for sure suffer.

He has. And he's only a sophomorefriendfromlowry;1784807 wrote:Feels like Perry Ellis has been playing at Kansas since 2007.

This is what will happen if Stetson wins.Mulva;1784721 wrote:I would give it to the regular season champ, personally. -
IliketurtlesThis Stetson/FGCU game has been really good. I hope it goes to OT. Been a few good conference tournament games today.

The A-Sun is dumb for letting them into the tourney. Most all other conferences don't let teams banned from the NCAA tournament (be it for APR or any other reason) play in the conference tourney either to avoid this sort of mess.wildcats20;1784931 wrote:This is what will happen if Stetson wins. -
MulvaThat was a fantastic block.
-
ironman02Glad FGCU got it done to get the automatic bid from the Atlantic Sun. Stetson sure did put up a fight though.
-
MulvaLooking forward to tomorrow. CAA, MAAC, and SoCon are all #1 vs #2
-
Azubuike24Iona/Monmouth will be a great game. Chattanooga should win. Huge bubble game for Gonzaga/BYU.
-
Azubuike24People calling Wichita State the most controversial bubble resume of all-time.
Jerry Palm has them completely out
Joe Lunardi has them as a 7-seed -
Mulva#11 overall in KenPom. It will depend how much the committee forgives the no Van Vleet stretch to begin the year
-
Azubuike241 good win too. Literally, nothing else.

SportsAndLadyBen Simmons looked to be a near lock for POY, now he's a mere third team AA.
Yikes -
Terry_TateI know Kahlil Felder didn't play in a high level league but the dude averaged 24 PPG and 9 APG. That's gotta be good for 3rd team AA, lol. #biasalert
-
Laley23No bias alert is that I'd take Yogi over Ulis. Not sure what their numbers are and don't know if they are even close. But give me Yogi, and what he didn't turn around Indiana this year over Ulis.

I was actually going to say the same thing lol. I couldn't believe he didn't at least make 3rd team. I mean the Horizon League is a pretty decent conference. Dude is a stud. Hopefully they can win their conference tournament.Terry_Tate;1784991 wrote:I know Kahlil Felder didn't play in a high level league but the dude averaged 24 PPG and 9 APG. Laley, Ullis stats are a little better than Yogi's but its super close in every category. -
Azubuike24
Their numbers are almost identical.Laley23;1784995 wrote:No bias alert is that I'd take Yogi over Ulis. Not sure what their numbers are and don't know if they are even close. But give me Yogi, and what he didn't turn around Indiana this year over Ulis.
Ulis' assist/turnover rate probably gets him the nod. It's insane.
Ulis - 16.6 PPG, 3.3 RPG, 7.4 APG, 1.4 SPG, 221 assists, 58 turnovers
Ferrell - 17.1 PPG, 3.9 RPG, 5.5 APG, 1.2 SPG, 169 assists, 82 turnovers
The one argument for Yogi would probably be he shot much better from 3-point range, but overall Ulis impacted much more of the overall offense and +/-.
