B1G Championship Game: (10) Michigan State 34, (2) Ohio State 24
-
ZombaypirateI have a bad feeling about this one.
Michigan St 13
Ohio State 10 -
TiernanOnly way OSU only scores 10 is if Miller and Hyde are caught selling new gold pants this week.

It certainly turned the heat up on him, but the team's performance in the 2000 Outback bowl was, IMO, his final fuck up.Manhattan Buckeye;1546185 wrote:when Cooper lost to Michigan State it was his death knell.
That team played with the composure and discipline of old Hurricane teams without the talent -
dlazzOSU: 5
MSU: 3 -

I agree. I think the MSU defense is very, very good. That being said, this OSU offense is about as good as it gets. So many weapons starting with the QB. He creates so much havic on the field. He breaks down defenses. They have to key on him. Obviously, then you have Hyde who can do it all as a RB. Very good WR as well. And an offensive line that is the best I have seen at OSU since the 90's. As good as MSU defense is, I don't see them holding OSU to under 24pts. The key to this game is going to be the OSU defense vs the MSU offense. Will OSU defense get their shit together? Will, can the MSU offense produce better than they have all year?Tiernan;1546205 wrote:Only way OSU only scores 10 is if Miller and Hyde are caught selling new gold pants this week. -

Two safeties and an extra point?
Two field goals and a negative point?
A touchdown and a negative extra point? -

Safety and field goal would seem like the obvious way... I hope you're not serious.ernest_t_bass;1546436 wrote:How does OSU get 5?

Cook is a baller? LOL, that's all I needed to read to disregard your post. Cook has improved over the year, but he's still shaky at best.Classyposter58;1546082 wrote:Not true at all, this offense is clicking lately. That game against Minnesota they kept the playbook shut the whole time. Connor Cook is a baller and Fowler is a pretty good receiver
MSU has not been tested by an offense like this Ohio State offense. And the OSU defense will be good enough to stop a mediocore MSU offense. OSU wins 35-17 -

It is. Michigan State isn't a walk in the park, it will be a difficult game and Dantonio will have Sparty ready.
It isn't Florida State versus Duke, my God FSU is going to kill them. -
Fly4FunWhile I'm not looking forward t going against Dantonio's D. I'm excited about the prospect of going against Bollman's offense.
-
TiernanDon't kid yourself F4F, Dantonio is a control freak and his fingerprints are all over that offense too.

Please he was making some big throws late in the season and had some big games like NW and Illinois, finished the year with 17/4 which is solid. Dude can get the job done. I just don't like this game at all, just like all the times Dantonios defenses shut down killer spread attacks, I'm worried about something similar here. Also Nebraska was misleading, they scored a TD and got 75 yards in garbage time so delete that and they gained just over 300 on the Spartans.dwccrew;1546486 wrote:Cook is a baller? But MSU has some serious playmakers on D, and most of all Dantonio, dude has won 11 games in 3 of the last 4 years with the Spartans. I just don't like the matchup at all, will be close -

Yes he can, he's pretty good. But he's not a baller. Braxton is a baller. Jameis Winston is a baller. Connor Cook is not a baller.Classyposter58;1546539 wrote:Please he was making some big throws late in the season and had some big games like NW and Illinois, finished the year with 17/4 which is solid. Tigerfan00So Mich St got beat by Notre Dame and struggle with Indiana and Purdue(only beat god awful Purdue 14-0 at home). As long as Mich St don't have Devin Gardner starting at QB then I think OSU will be alright.
-
se-alumYea, I don't think MSU has the offensive weapons to run an offense like ttun ran against it. Outside of Langford, their offense is void of playmakers.
-
se-alumAlso, the B1G has issued a "public reprimand" to Hall and the coaching staff. No further action will be taken.

stlouiedipalmaBrady Hoke told the world all we needed to know about the Buckeyes' offense when he decided to go for 2 Saturday. He knew his defense was grossly overmatched and that Ohio St. would score a touchdown on every possession in overtime. I don't think there is a defense in the country that can stop them now. Buckeyes in a laugher, 42-10.
