For the record...Doak Walker is for best RB. So Johnny Football will not get that.Tiernan;1543921 wrote:Travesty of ESPN predjudice that Hyde isnt mentioned for the Walker Award. They will give it to Johnny Fuckup no matter what the actual voting numbers are. -

This makes zero sense to me. Who's a better RB in college football? I can't think of anyone.rrfan;1543903 wrote:And not mentioned for the Doak Walker Award! -

I blame Mark May...it has to be his fault.sleeper;1543941 wrote:This makes zero sense to me. Who's a better RB in college football? I can't think of anyone. -

Suspension really hurt him. There are plenty of players with better numbers right now.sleeper;1543941 wrote:This makes zero sense to me. Who's a better RB in college football? I can't think of anyone. -

FSU better not have a QB in the running for the Heisman then.WebFire;1543956 wrote:Suspension really hurt him. There are plenty of players with better numbers right now. -

What part of that do you not understand. FSU QB is being investigated for far worse. What is good for the goose...WebFire;1543981 wrote:??? -

Hyde was suspended. Winston has not been.rrfan;1543991 wrote:What part of that do you not understand. FSU QB is being investigated for far worse. What is good for the goose...
And that's not even my point. My point was that Hyde's numbers are lower because he missed games. Otherwise he'd be a front runner for the award. -

Not that I enjoy defending a Michigan fan... but Webfire's post wasn't about the misconduct but the fact that he missed games. Winston hasn't missed games yet.rrfan;1543991 wrote:What part of that do you not understand. FSU QB is being investigated for far worse. What is good for the goose...
However, if he is charged before the votes go out I don't see any way he would be a Heisman winner. It would just look too bad for it if he was eventually convicted. -

If he is charged, he will be kicked off the team. He won't be a college football player any longer.Fly4Fun;1543997 wrote:Not that I enjoy defending a Michigan fan... but Webfire's post wasn't about the misconduct but the fact that he missed games. Winston hasn't missed games yet.

But to this point, shoudl it really matter that he missed a few games? Even you just said what he has done has been amazing (not those words, but saying e'd be a front runner is basically saying as much). The Heisman isn't for the most productive (just total numbers) college football player but the most outstanding. He's been pretty damn outstanding in my opinion.WebFire;1543996 wrote:Hyde was suspended. Winston has not been.

Most likely but not guaranteed. FSU can under special circumstances not kick him off the team. It would look absolutely awful for FSU, but you never know.wildcats20;1543999 wrote:If he is charged, he will be kicked off the team. He won't be a college football player any longer. -

True, I forgot they had that little provision.Fly4Fun;1544001 wrote:Most likely but not guaranteed. FSU can under special circumstances not kick him off the team. It would look absolutely awful for FSU, but you never know.
Aka allows star athletes to remain on the team. -

Hyde got suspended with out being charged with anything...FSU will not do anything unless they have to. They will hold off charges until football is over.Fly4Fun;1544001 wrote:Most likely but not guaranteed. FSU can under special circumstances not kick him off the team. You talking Heisman or Doak Walker? He's been good, but not Heisman good.Fly4Fun;1544000 wrote:But to this point, shoudl it really matter that he missed a few games? He would be Heisman good if he hadn't missed those 3 games. Look at what Jordan Hall did against those teams, and imagine what Hyde would've done. He would likely be around 1600 yards on the season with two games left. All for not though, because of a dumb decision.WebFire;1544013 wrote:You talking Heisman or Doak Walker? se-alumAlso, Hyde was basically out for 4 games. Got only 5 carries in his first game back.

Without a doubt--he would of at the very least been invited to NYC.se-alum;1544050 wrote:He would be Heisman good if he hadn't missed those 3 games. rip34Didn't see this article linked. Thought it was an interesting take that I am sure many Buckeyes fans can attest to with the ESPN handling of the Hyde suspension at the beginning of the year.

trep14Anyone ever been up to the big house for a game as an osu fan? Got tickets and am planning on going up and naturally wear osu gear. Is there usually problems with getting stuff thrown at you or anything?

dlazzLine on the OSU game is now -16

Azubuike24My neighbor just put $2250 each on OSU -15 and Auburn +10.5.
He's thinking Urban will keep the foot on the pedal all 60 minutes, regardless.
