"the game" hasnt had any relevance since 2006. It hasnt decided anything since the 2006 game either. Most people dont watch it anymore unless they are a fan of the teams.

See the Iron Bowl since inception.

Just because it's "not relevant" to the FBS landscape doesn't mean it's not relevant to football fans nationally...let's see what the ratings are after the game, deal?

The ratings will likely be in the top 5 for the season despite Michigan being terrible.

I bet there will be 3 games or more this year that has higher viewership. Clem vs UGA, Ore vs Stan, and Bama vs LSU. You can toss in FSU vs Clem and Bama vs Auburn too.

Perhaps, but the thread is about rivalries. None of those qualify.

Yeah of all those games I only watched Stan/Ore. Bama Auburn will probably be #1 this year(for regular season), Ore/Stan will probably be #2 and OSU/Mich will be #3. Not bad for an irrelevant game lol.

That is an interesting stat, I looked it up and it appears that OSU hasn't beaten tsun by more than 11 in AA since 1961 (OSU won 50-20)

2007 it had relevance. Had Michigan won, they'd have represented the Big Ten in the BCS and OSU wouldn't have gone to the BCS Champsionship game.

Dlazz you gotta change that avi. Its like I automatically dismiss your posts because I see that stupid moron in your picture

Carlos Hyde is averaging 7.7 yards per carry. That's pretty crazy for someone averaging 18 carries a game.

You're forgetting OSU and UM have the two largest fanbases in college football. That helps

Travesty of ESPN predjudice that Hyde isnt mentioned for the Walker Award. They will give it to Johnny Fuckup no matter what the actual voting numbers are.
