Uhm... If you've watched Georgia this season, you would know that they're the 2nd best team in the SEC, and if it weren't for all the injuries they've sustained, they might even be #1.Pick6;1514600 wrote:that makes absolutely no sense -

You mean the same Georgia team that should have lost to Tennessee? The same Tennessee that got train rolled by Oregon?Scarlet_Buckeye;1515023 wrote:Uhm... Sorry, Georgia is terrible. If they weren't in the SEC, they wouldn't even be ranked. Northwestern is 10x the team Georgia is or ever will be. -

So that loss to...you know...Clemson, means they are better than Clemson (who hasnt lost yet)?Scarlet_Buckeye;1515023 wrote:Uhm... Heretic
Well, my Ohio U team that didn't even try to compete against Louisville was able to beat North Texas, so those guys obviously have to be a legit team that would throw a scare into the second-best team from any supposedly elite conference!GOONx19;1515111 wrote:Same Georgia team that was locked in a 21-21 tie halfway through the third quarter against the North Texas Mean Green. -
pmoney25The ABC math some of you are using doesn't work. Team A blows out Team B and Team C just beats Team B so Team A will automatically beat team C because they won by more points. That doesn't work in sports. The year OSU won the National Championship we beat a 7-7 Cincy Team by 4 points and a beat a 7-6 Purdue team 10-6 and needed a miracle to win that game at the end. Beat Illinois who won 5 games that year in OT. You cannot judge teams because they may struggle against a crappy team here and there.

I believe Sleeper used it earlier saying Oregon blew out Tennessee while Georgia barely beat them so Georgia must not be good. This is part of the reason I prefer the NFL, in College it seems the fans spend most of the time either bashing other teams or defending their own team 24/7 while in the NFL the results speak for themselves.Pick6;1515217 wrote:I dont think anybody was really using that math besides heretic, who was joking i think -

Exactly. Georgia is garbage; a glorified sun belt team that has an SEC label. I hope they go to the championship game somehow(probably with 6 losses because SEC) so Ohio State can run train on them.GOONx19;1515111 wrote:Same Georgia team that was locked in a 21-21 tie halfway through the third quarter against the North Texas Mean Green. -

You really think crappy Georgia would come within 30 of Oregon? No. Logic or not, Georgia is fucking awful. The only bowl game Georgia is winning this year is if they somehow get matched up against ND in a BCS bowl.pmoney25;1515215 wrote:The ABC math some of you are using doesn't work. You have to realize that Sleeper will use whatever garbage argument he can to slam the SEC or ND while talking up OSU. You can't actually take him seriously.pmoney25;1515223 wrote:I believe Sleeper used it earlier saying Oregon blew out Tennessee while Georgia barely beat them so Georgia must not be good. The game was AT Clemson. Clemson won by 3 pts. Everyone knows Vegas gives "3 pts" for Home field advantage.Pick6;1515068 wrote:So that loss to...you know...Clemson, means they are better than Clemson (who hasnt lost yet)?
If the game was AT Georgia or AT a neutral site, yes... I truly believe Georgia would have won.
Again... did you even WATCH the game? Georgia LOOKED like the better team. Georgia LOOKED like they weren't even playing that well. I'm fully confident (well... at least before the injuries Georgia sustained this past week) that if that game were to be played again, Georgia would win.
Who has Clemson played? NO ONE, aside from Georgia (who they barely beat).
Who has Georgia played? They proved they can hang with Clemson, AT Clemson... they've beaten #6 S. Carolina... they've beaten #6 LSU... and they just beat Tennessee (a school from... you know... the SEC; which everyone regards as the BEST conference), and Georgia suffered all those devastating injuries in that game, and not to mention that game was setup to be the perfect "trap" game.
Oh... Georgia's best player (Todd Gurley) is better than Clemson's best player (Boyd? Watkins?).
Idk why Georgia can't be the better team when they went on the road to one of the more "hostile environments" in college football, and only lost by 3 pts!!! -

I've watched every Georgia game except LSU and they haven't LOOKED good. If you wait until week five to put out rankings, they might crack the Top 15. I watch SEC football every week, go to school in the SEC, and am a fan of an SEC school. The conference is not that good this year, and only keeps its reputation as the BEST conference because every time an SEC team loses it just gets shrugged off as a loss to another SEC "power." LSU, Georgia, and South Carolina are all average teams this year, and Florida, Auburn, and Ole Miss should be nowhere near Top 25.Scarlet_Buckeye;1515497 wrote:The game was AT Clemson. This. Alabama is the only team in the SEC that I would consider elite this year. I hope it's Ohio State vs. any of these SEC teams so we can blow them off the map like we did a few years ago against world beater Arkansas(anyone remember when ESPN was trying to hype Arkansas; the SEC doesn't even try anymore lol).GOONx19;1515661 wrote:I've watched every Georgia game except LSU and they haven't LOOKED good. Azubuike24IMO, A&M is "elite" and LSU is close. LSU replaced a shit ton of starters and actually has an offense this year. They won't beat Bama and may lose to A&M, but they also could win out.
A&M, IMO, won't lose again. They aren't as good as Bama, but they are top 5 good because of their offensive versatility and due to having the best player in the country. They also have a top 5 WR and a 3-year starter at RB who are both All-SEC caliber players.
If I ranked the SEC right now, I'd say...
1. Alabama
2. Texas A&M
3. LSU
4. Georgia
5. South Carolina
6. Florida
7. Auburn
8. Missouri
However, there is a decent drop off based on my opinion after 4. I can see the Gamecocks losing 3 more games, maybe 4. -
