AutomatikJust curious, hows tailgating been this year? Not near the stadium, I'm talking about Hineygate area, Little Bar, etc...
Little Bar was my go to spot in the past, but the last time I went it was packed as fuck. Anything new? -
dlazzAll of the bars are always packed
-
Automatik
Little Bar used to be much better when Hineygate was still going strong.....but then the masses caught on.dlazz;1507830 wrote:All of the bars are always packed -
Midstate01I don't think anyone denies that Braxton needed work as a qb. He even did obviously by going to a qb coach. But the staff and players said he was completely different. Hard to say since we only saw him for a game. But he's a better player than KG. Meyer is a winning coach, if KG was better,he'd play him. Period.

Your stats show nothing really, just stupid assumptions that you keep making up that are absolutely ridiculous. Braxton Miller lead the ENTIRE B1G at the end of the season last year in passing efficiency. His yards per attempt is 2 yards more than Guiton. He's better, period. -

You're not right because you cherry-pick certain stats without looking at the big picture and then proclaim that you're right based off that.ccrunner609;1507849 wrote:OSU was ranked 85th last year in passing offense, 110th the year before. Coming into last year, Urban looked at WR as arguably their worst position, not sure if he could count on anyone. He also had a lot of RBs fighting for time and a mobile quarterback, so obviously they were going to focus on the ground and the team wouldn't have a ton of passing yards. As pointed out, Miller was as good as they get as far as passing efficiency in the Big 10; but just wasn't called on to do a ton of passing because the run game was what they were based around.
This year, the offense is more pass-oriented because Meyer feels Miller's even better and he has more faith in the receivers. Guiton's done a great job taking advantage of that against two pathetic defenses. If Miller's healthy, it's his job unless he plays poorly enough to lose it.
As for your data, the stuff you include about how the offense did with Kenny G this year as compared to against teams in games 3 and 4 last year was just a joke that I'd hope no one would remotely take seriously and doesn't even deserve this much commentary. If you're too derpy to realize things, in college sports, things change greatly from year to year because of things like graduation, transfers, the NFL draft and so on. -
lhslep134Honestly guys (LJ, Heretic) I can't believe you're even wasting time responding to CC's stat cherrypicking.
While I say thanks for the (IMO correct) analysis, I think everyone agrees with what you had to say except CC -

I don't need to try hard when you're doing all the work for me. In the same thread you call someone out for not being aware, you make a totally unaware statement. Not any effort required on my behalf. -

Yea that's been pointed out a time or two already. Solid contribution. Keep it up. You'd makes great lawyer.lhslep134;1508301 wrote:In the same thread you call someone out for not being aware, you make a totally unaware statement. -

sleeperNot really a fan of Bron Bron but probably a nice recruiting point to have him visit the university from time to time. Just as long as he doesn't wear an Alabama hat or whatever team he is on the bandwagon with.

Or discuss with Meyer the possibility of him taking his talents back to Florida.sleeper;1508349 wrote:Not really a fan of Bron Bron but probably a nice recruiting point to have him visit the university from time to time. AutomatikI hope Braxton has a hell of a day. I got a feeling its imminent.

ohiobucks1I'm actually surprised by how you guys are treating CC's opinion. It's not that different from a lot of legit anyalists and big time OSU fans. While I don't agree, I think they're pretty much even as passers. Braxton frustrated the hell out of me last year by how hesitant he was sometimes and his inability to go to anybody but his first read, and KG has shown an ability to make the correct read a very high percentage of the time.

What analysts? The majority of analyst opinions I have heard is that Braxton has a stronger arm which opens up more of the playbook. He actually goes deeper into his progressions on passes than Guiton. The analysts all say that Guiton makes the correct read everytime when it comes to the option on the zone read, not passing plays. There are commentators making this into a QB controversy because they are commentators and it's good for business.ohiobucks1;1508384 wrote:I'm actually surprised by how you guys are treating CC's opinion. As for those "big time OSU fans", a lot of those fans are never happy with offensive starters and always want "the other guy". There are guys that call into 97.1 when Craig Krenzel is on there and talk about how McMullen was a better QB and should have played over Krenzel. -

lol, I have a good friend who is one of those "big time OSU fans". Virtually the entire time I've known him, he's wanted the back-up. Well, when it was Bauserman, he didn't call for him, but the rest of the time...yeah. I remember one day where he stormed out of the friend's place we were watching a close loss to Penn State saying that the team's seniors should just quit the team because Pryor was starting instead of Boeckman. It was great!LJ;1508417 wrote:What analysts? The majority of analyst opinions I have heard is that Braxton has a stronger arm which opens up more of the playbook. AutomatikIt was already mentioned, but do people forget the comments George Whitfield made about Miller?
