Beat Arkansas and Oregon in recent bowl gamesMohican00;1545557 wrote:been that way for awhile. Add general success over 10+ years and the largest and very vocal fan base to what happened in 2006 and 2007 (the USC losses didn't help either), and you tend to draw a lot of ire from the rest of cfb.
Big Ten fans, well, tOSU has been stylin on them for so long I doubt they'll ever be viewed favorably. -

Arkansas is not a "real" SEC team and Oregon is a paper tiger.Classyposter58;1545566 wrote:Beat Arkansas and Oregon in recent bowl games
Plus TP cheated, coach cheated, O$U, etc..., they can't hang with the few elite teams each year

The Big 10 has been the biggest proponent of the BCS around because it rewards their conference more than any other. They are living off of reputation at this point.Classyposter58;1545543 wrote:Drew Sharp last week said he is moving MSU up to 16th, and he's a Detroit Free Press writer for christ sakes. I swear if OSU goes undefeated and misses out things will get ugly, I would bet massive lawsuits towards ESPN and the BCS. I do think the NCAA should step in for their most popular sport and control it a bit, instead of networks and coaches doing literally everything
An undefeated OSU missing the title game might be the shock to the system the conference needs to get its act together and start taking football seriously again.
To have the "emperor has no clothes" moment is desperately needed right now to all of the big wigs at the Big 10 that think everything is hunky doory with the state of football in the conference. -

I would be surprised if any "big wig" felt things were hunky dory with B1G footballIggyPride00;1545619 wrote:the big wigs at the Big 10 that think everything is hunky doory with the state of football in the conference. -

I agree, but Auburn would put up a top 5 win at the same time. The coaches poll is closer than I expected.SportsAndLady;1545519 wrote:Not with a top 10 win (assuming OSU wins) in their last game.
If OSU beats MSU, by 40 or 30 or 1...they're in the BCSNCG. -
wildcats20@JamesCrepea: Harris Poll:
Florida State (97) 2,617
Ohio State (5) 2,488
Auburn (3) 2,422 -

Manhattan Buckeye"After talking with these folks and, of course, listening to rants from media morons like Mark May, I have to say the depth of Ohio State hatred is staggering."
This is difficult to explain to people, the amount of hate Ohio State gets from other fan bases is absolutely staggering - to your point. I have no idea why. I post often on my alum network fan board and I think people actually care more that Ohio State loses as opposed to our team winning, and it is a completely different conference. To this day I don't think Mark May and Tim Brando recognize the '02 championship. -
sportchamppsAuburn will be jumping OSU when the polls are released. I hate it. It's so stupid. People like Mark May voted auburn 1st Alabama 2nd and Mizzou 3rd. I'm sure he had FSU 4th and then maybe OSU 5th.

Mark May doesn't have a vote in anything that matters and for that matter, any poll. -
Manhattan BuckeyeMissouri 3rd? If Ohio State beats Michigan State (that isn't a given) they will be in the championship game with FSU.

sportchamppsI'm just guessing on the BCS part. Mark May said how he would be voting for his top 3 on ESPN.

sportchamppsThe human polls made it so close that most of the computers will give a bigger edge to Auburn. Only one of the computer polls have released their results and it has OSU 2 and auburn 6th.

The fact that you say a back that is 30 lbs lighter, double the carries, and almost half the YPC in November is absolutely just as good or better is straight up ridiculous. Carey's only 200 yard games came on 39 and 48 carries. Hyde's 200 yard games came on 24 and 27 carries. You are being just a bit ridiculous. Carey isn't even in the top 75 when it comes to YPC and he is 28th in YPC when it comes to guys over 1000 yards.
Ka'deem just named Pac-12 offensive POY. But in no way, shape, or form does he compare to the deity known as Carlos HydeAutomatik;1545438 wrote:But buttt.......if you watch closely!!

Not surprising. Solid coach. Still young. Washington did get better with him as a coach. But leveled out and didn't get much better the past few years.dlazz;1546469 wrote:THIS JUST IN: Washington coach Steve Sarkisian has accepted job as head coach at USC. (via @schadjoe) -
dlazzI admire Boise's coach for saying no. He must want to finish what he started there.
