Carlos Hyde to be kicked off OSU football team!

You can parse it whatever way you want. My original point was that college football has gotten to a bad place when players have to activly be encouraged not to commit felonies. I don't believe that the programs used to be pure as the wind driven snow by any means. I'm only saying that the culture around it has changed in the last twenty years.
The only thing that has changed is now people get in trouble for things. Problems aren't ignored or swept under the rug like they were years ago. Players haven't changed like you believe, you just have the old person mentality that things used to all be great with no problems. There were just as many problems and very possibly more, you just didn't hear about it.

    Old person mentality?

When you ultimately hit "old person" age (whatever that is) I've no doubt that the "mentality" thing you speak of will miraculously turn to wisdom which you, in turn, will no doubt be more than happy to share with all the pinheaded youth of your day.

Some jealous **** saw her opportunity to make an athlete look bad and her plan backfired. Throw the book at that bitch.

    More old person mentality

No shit. If this is true, she needs to be charged.

The interesting part is that people were tweeting it? Was it some big conspiracy that they were all in on this just to get a guy in trouble? Maybe they are M*ch*g*n fans? Whatever, I hope he truly did nothing wrong.

    She won't get charged.

He was named a "person of interest." I'm thinking the entire case just gets tossed.

An easy explanation could be a rumor spread and people spread the rumor real quick at the club thinking it was true.

I'm not saying that happened for sure.

There are just a lot of conflicting reports, but at least the video being on Hyde's side is a good omen.

Lotta Blue n Gold and Maize n Blue mofos with egg on their faces today. Gawd I hate those two teams even more now...if that's possible.

So the accuser is the daughter of a Westerville cop, not Columbus. And she is suddenly out of town on vacation.

    Convenient, isn't it?

OSU doesn't need Hyde's name in the media for her charge. Just let the case go and get Hyde focused solely on football. Although I'd like her to be punished, no reason to drag this out.

Now Mindy drayee says she saw video. Girl swings on him and he turns around and slaps her.

If this is true...since it changes daily

    Id guess 2-4 game suspension.
  • Midstate01
I say that because I doubt slapping someone is going to get you assault charges. I could be wrong though.

I heard he beat up manti teo's GF.

Just throw your first through the air and that'll do it.

Quite frankly tired of hearing about it until there are confirmed facts.

If he slapped a chick he's going down harder than 3 - 4 games.

One of the stories floating around is that after she swung at him, he mocked her by patting her on the cheek. If that's the case, then I don't think it's a big deal.

Mindy Drayer is on TV, though, saying he slapped her after she swung at him. How the hell Mindy Drayer is watching this video is beyond me, but if he truly did slap her, then Meyer will kick him off the team.

I would think that if he really had slapped her, he would've been arrested by now. This girl is apparently out of the country on vacation now, so maybe they're waiting to question her once she returns.

They could certainly arrest and charge him without her being around.

I posted this elsewhere but have yet to get an answer to my question, but I am almost positive that Ms. Drayer graduated high school with the victim's father. Is this not a conflict of interest and unethical?

This is correct. But if you have a witness that will likely not be cooperative it sort of makes any type of prosecution moot. If the story is as suggested above is correct, she could (would) be prosecuted as well.
