Johnny Manziel 2013-14 Thread

I think Manziel's father inherited his wealth. It seems that in an attempt to do the opposite of his own father, who wasn't around, he took it to the complete extreme and is now too involved. Overall, there definitely appears to be a lack of personal accountability and overall perspective in the Manziel family.Manhattan Buckeye;1480306 wrote:Apparently he is a very wealthy guy, doesn't make him a genius. Or a good father. My aTm friends are absolutely sick of the whole situation. I see Sumlin reeling in the whole group very shortly. -

Yeah, that seems to be the case for Paul Manziel according to my friends in Texas.elbuckeye28;1480814 wrote:I think Manziel's father inherited his wealth. AutomatikCan you please STFU about your "friends" and what they think.
Thanks. -

Heaven forbid someone share what they hear from people closer to the situation than we are...Automatik;1481172 wrote:Can you please STFU about your "friends" and what they think.

AutomatikI'm just not a fan of "he said, she said" gossip, leave that for females.
And to be frank, I think he's full of shit. -
Manhattan BuckeyeThat's your opinion, but I'm invited to the aTm/Vandy game this year by a big donor...he ain't happy right now.
And if you think I'm full of #&%^ you can ask a mod where I'm posting from.
Pretty much 95% of the college football world realizes this kid has a lot of growing up to do, and is no where near NFL ready. -

You do realize that the majority of sports reporting today is exactly what you just complained about, right? Everyone has a source that says something. For example, the top story on ESPN "Source: A-Rod reps weigh settlement, ban." Most college football recruiting news is just "sources" and he said/she said. Etc.Automatik;1481248 wrote:I'm just not a fan of "he said, she said" gossip, leave that for females.

I don't mind MB sharing what A&M people he knows have to say about the situation. He's not claiming to have sources in their athletic department or anything, he's just saying what some A&M alumni donors whom he knows think about this situation. And I find no reason to believe MB is full of shit as he doesn't post to get attention, he just shares his opinion and his take on things. -
AutomatikPosting from the UK the last you mentioned? No?
My point was, WE KNOW. MB knows people in A&M circles or whatever, they aren't pleased. Again, we know.
On to football terms. As someone who wants to see Saban dethroned, I'd like to see Johnny F go bonkers again, knock off Bama and hopefully they slip up again somewhere during the season. -

I'd rather see OSU v. Bama in a championship game than Johnny Manziel "go bonkers."Automatik;1481264 wrote:Posting from the UK the last you mentioned? No?

When do the preseason polls start coming out? Not that I'm a fan of them, but it will provide for some more football discussion. -
AutomatikJust saw this pop up on ESPN. Will read when I can waste more time later.

Tiernan'Bama & Saban have had Sept 14 circled in red since last year's Fk-Up against this turd. I'm no fan of Nick's but the man does not suffer fools and I gotta believe they completely overlooked Manzier last year and want some primetime payback. I'll be the biggest Roll Tide fan there is that day and then on Sept 15 go right back to hating everything they stand for.

I agree with facing 'Bama, and here's the coaches poll that was just released:Fly4Fun;1481273 wrote:I'd rather see OSU v. Bama in a championship game than Johnny Manziel "go bonkers."

It is a good read, for ESPN the Magazine. I'm not the biggest fan of that publication but this seems to be a well researched article, and if anything tried to make the Manziel family more sympathetic.Automatik;1481281 wrote:Just saw this pop up on ESPN. Will read when I can waste more time later.

Did you drop your monocle after this post? -
ohiobucks1Yeah GFY MB. I'm waaaaaaay richer than Manziel and unlike you my family are actual donors and don't need to just be friends with donors and besides this post that I'm posting right now, I turned out pretty fucking well.
For real though, money is not a reason to believe you are above the law (or anything for that matter), especially when you didn't earn it yourself -

Oh you are rich? Wanna be friends?
Back to MB and his pissed off donor friends. I bet they weren't upset during the Alabama game last year. I bet they weren't upset when he was thrashing OU in the Cotton Bowl. So they can't have it both ways. If they had a chance to kick him off the team...they wouldn't. -

Sadly that was all fake (or was it) . Was just trying to prove my point that using money as an excuse to do what you want is bull. -

That might be one of the most incomprehensible posts I've ever seen.ohiobucks1;1481452 wrote:Yeah GFY MB. And it is hilarious that people are defending this guy's behavior. -
AutomatikI don't defend it, I just don't give a fuck. While you on the other hand...cry about it daily.

I haven't seen much defending of his behavior, in the sense of 'hey, keep it up Johnny!".
But this guy is a football player. Not running for office. He gave TAMU one of their best seasons ever and has them top 10 preseason this year and the people there are sick of him? People are paying attention to your program and they are recruiting better than ever. They should be working on his statue and trying to support him. Not run him out of town. -

Lol. I am trying to imitate different people on here. It's kind of my new thing.Manhattan Buckeye;1481514 wrote:That might be one of the most incomprehensible posts I've ever seen.

Anyways, how can you defend Manziel? he's a spoiled brat -
