As I said in the other thread, I -- and many others on Duke boards -- didn't care about having a one anyway. I'd rather not get a one seed and have the hardest number two in my region (i.e. Kansas). Also, with the scoring droughts this team is prone to, I don't wanna be in a position to make history as a one seed...

Wisconsin is in great position right now. Take care of business and hope for Kansas to fall.

Am I reading this right. Arkansas has 90 points with 11:38 left??

    Yes.

If Kansas ends up with 8 losses, it's possible that the ACC champion will still get a one seed (e.g. a 4-loss Syracuse; a 7-loss UNC who beats Duke and then some combo of Duke/Syracuse/Virginia in the ACC Tournament; a 7-loss Duke who beats UNC and then some combo of Syracuse/UNC/Virginia in the ACC Tournament; or Virginia with a similar combo of wins in the ACC Tournament).

If Kansas does lose again, though, I think Wisconsin deserves the final one seed as long as they reach the finals of the Big Ten Tournament. That's my take anyway.

Let's go buffs too bad they lost their best player

Pac-12 schedule set up nicely. Stanford, Cal, Colorado, and Utah playing each other the final 2 games. Utah probably isn't on the bubble at this point, but closing the year with wins @ Cal and @ Stanford would at least get them in the conversation.

The other 3 are all in 9-12 seed range right now. None of them can really afford any losses.

San Diego State travels to Vegas tonight. This should be a great one in the Thomas & Mac Center. Could have some seeding implications for the Aztecs. Will have no implication for the Runnin' Rebels.

Vegas must win the MWC Tournament to get a ticket. It takes a real genius to guide a squad that stacked to the NIT.

Bill Walton doing Colorado-Stanford right now. Only 6 minutes left but still, plenty of time for some classic Walton lines.

I hate Walton. The guy asks him about Andrew luck who they show in the stands...He doesn't say a word. It was so awkward.

    Blasphemer.

    Bill Walton is a God.

All of the progress you have made moving up my "best OC posters" rankings was just erased with this one post. Congratulations.

    Excellent late-night action.

Vegas leads No. 10 San Diego State with 15 minutes to play in the second half and Oregon State is knotted at 40 with No. 3 Arizona with under 16 to go.

Wake up everyone! It is officially March, because I have no idea which game to watch.

    #10 San Diego State 61, Vegas 61 with 3:23

    #3 Arizona 61 Oregon State 61 with 6:30

    Utah 48, Cal 48 with 3:30

Dayton beats St. Louis. That's a good win for the Flyers.

Great read. Having seen a family member deal with this, its heart wrenching to watch someone you know and love got through this.

I didn't say I didn't like him as an announcer. I just can't stand him regardless. He says some funny things for sure. But I've just never liked him much.

BS or not? Down 2 with 0.6 seconds left, Oakland sends Travis Bader, a 90% FT shooter to set a "screen" on an oblivious guy guarding the inbound. He made 2 FT's. They won in OT. Advanced to the quarterfinals.

    Good strategy. Terrible call.

Agree with this. Smart move by the coach to tell the ref to watch for it beforehand. Planted the seed.

Dunk City having some trouble with East Tennessee St in the A-Sun semis. Tied at 51.

I've never seen a screen on the guy guarding the inbound before. I guess I always just assumed it was illegal.
  • reclegend22
That's awesome strategy. Props on the gamesmanship.

I've seen that a few times, but that should've backfired. That was a "block" lol.

Cincy thoroughly beating Memphis around on senior night at the Shoemaker Center. Led by Sean Kilpatrick's 27 points, Bearcats up 73-55 with 5:30 left.

With a win, Cincy pulls even with Louisville for first place in the AAC with one game to go. Mick Cronin has done a wonderful job with a team built almost entirely on defense. Cincy has given up 70 points just once in the last 10 games.
