Any Notre Dame Grads On Here?

  • vball10set
I was reading the CBB forum and someone brought up the fact that "over half of the OSU fans on here prolly graduated from MAC schools", which I did. That got me to thinking, are there any Notre Dame grads on OC? I know that one of the more outspoken posters is in grad school at OSU (not sure where he went for undergrad), and another is an Owens Community College alum, so I was curious as to the college affiliations of some of the other more prominent Domers on here....and how they became fans of ND.

In before Sleeper--they're all bandwagon fans or offspring of bandwagon fans.

    ;)

    Excellent.

Its very common knowledge that 99.9% of Irish "fans" did not attend ND. And 95% of that 99.9% couldn't find South Bend on a map if you gave them it was in Indiana.

Athlete37 is the only one. He graduated and goes to OSU Law now I thought.

As many know, I go to OSU. I was a pretty big fan of OSU too but that faded around the 2006 Fiesta Bowl. I still root for OSU and OSU sports that arent football. Im a HUGE Buckeye wrestling fan.

I guess I could say that I'm an Irish fan because I'm a partially-Irish Catholic who went to Catholic school for eleven years. I dont really know. I found an old Lou Holtz autographed football in our attic when I was young, and a 1932 USC-ND ticket and thought those were pretty cool. I really have no idea how it started.

That's pretty sweet. I talked to Lou for a minute during pregame stretches for the Sugar Bowl before they went on air. Got a pic and thanked him for hating on Mark May.

Thanks for the correction. Haven't seen any of his posts in awhile but knew he at least went there. I don't troll ND threads so not up to date. :)

I know zero people that go to ND. My friend got a scholarship offer from there and turned it down to go to Ohio State. Best decision of his life.

Serious question, how does your love of a team just fade away? Especially during successful times? I dunno, I just can't imagine a scenario that would make me lose the desire to support the teams I root for.

my wife is an ND grad and has a masters from OSU.

You rooted for the Cavs didn't you?

I went to Xavier. I had an opportunity that would have just about guaranteed me a spot at Notre Dame, but I was young and stupid and wanted to "do it on my own." I got put on the wait-list at ND and then ended up getting the rejection letter. The nice thing about going to Xavier is that I didn't have to feel like I had to split my allegiance since Xavier doesn't have a football team.

Ever since I was a baby, my parents had me dressed up in Notre Dame t-shirts, coats, and hats. I used to watch games on Saturday with my dad. So I guess I'd fall under the "offspring of a band wagoner" except that my dad was a fan of Notre Dame his entire life. He was accepted by Notre Dame coming out of high school, but decided to stay closer to home instead.

THAT'S THE FAULT OF THE TOWN NAMERS!!!! When I read "SOUTH Bend", I think "the south part of the state". Fuckin' Indianians...don't know directions!

Went to Indiana University. Born in Ft. Wayne. Catholic. Try being from Northern Indiana, Catholic and NOT root for ND lol.
