Naadir Tharpe will be the PG with the most minutes by season's end. Kid's a stud. And EJ is awful.

Miami gets a tip-in with 1 second left to beat NC State. No Lorenzo Brown was a killer for the Wolfpack.
  • Ironman92
Miami wins another close one beating NC State....damn them lol
  • Ironman92
Arrgh! ESPN cut out of the Kansas game with 1:07 left.
  • Ironman92

Wichita St goes down to Northern Iowa

Figured they'd lose one of these games..weren't good enough to go unbeaten in whats looking to be a pretty decent conference this year..thought the b12 was gonna suck.

Oh well. Hopefully this is the end of Elijah Johnson and the beginning of naadir tharpe.

How many top 10 losses have there been in the last 2 weeks? Probably at least 15.

What was their win streak ~17?

I'm watching the Akron/OU game on ESPNU.....Akron is on a 12 game winning streak which is now the longest. They are inca tight one with a pretty good team. Hopefully both can get into the tourney. Akron has 2 local kids, one from about 20 miles away comes in off the bench regularly and my wife's 2nd cousin rides the end of the bench...but still

The B12 is like Notre Dame's football schedule. There are a bunch of decent teams, but none of them (aside from the Jayhawks) are any better than decent. They might get 5 NCAA bids, but 4 of them are going to be 6+ seeds. No excuse to lose a game like that at home.

Oklahoma State has been hoarding 4 and 5 star recruits..they're a talented team. K state had experience.

Everyone always says that about the big twelve and yes they're never the best conference but they're usually pretty solid and have at least 2 teams in the SS.

No excuse for losing at home, but they're still a lock for a 1 seed imo. No biggie losing this one.

I'm finally getting into the NCAA now so I can crunch up on several teams so I can have some actual knowledge when I pick my brackets.....not that it'll help
  • Ironman92
    Akron 86
    OU 72

    Akron 13 straight and now 17-4 (8-0 in MAC)....OU drops to 15-6

Zeke Marshall 8/8 shooting 67% FG on the year with 7.5 blocks per game!

Zips now have the longest winning streak in the nation. Holla

Watching Florida-Ole Miss. Marshall Henderson looks like The Professor out there, from the And1 Mixtape Tour. He is not very good. Completely out of place. I take back my original comments about him. I did not know that he did not have any technical skill as a basketball player. He is basically a trash-talking Kyle Hornsby.

I haven't watched but parts of 2 games....but agree. He took the two worst shots I've seen in years in 3 trips down the floor.

Tonight seems like a strange game to make that comment because his numbers are pretty decent. He was shooting 35% in SEC play coming in, though. He isn't a very good player, just a cocky chucker.

Yeah, naturally, Henderson made four three-pointers after my post above.

Overall, though, I stand by my comments. As you say, Henderson is a chucker, with, from what I have seen of him, no ability to defend or dribble. I based all of my previous "praise" of Henderson off of ESPN highlights and a gif that went viral. I had never seen a full game of his before, and he does not impress me at all.

UK beats A&M in OT. I didn't see the game, but Poythress and Cauley-Stein combined 0-3 shooting. Did they both get hurt?

Also, Temple falls to St Josephs and drops to 3-4 in the A-10. Joe's goes to 4-3. That race is going to be crazy. 9 teams sitting with 2 or 3 conference losses.

The A-10 could potentially produce the most exciting of any conference tournament this year, especially with regard to the "mid majors." The Big Ten will be superb as well.
  • Crimson streak
Akron is going to be a very tough out in the tourny. Especially with the 7 footers that will give teams problems. As for the a-10 I would honestly put that conference at about 4th-5th best. A ton of quality teams that can beat anyone in the conference on any given night. And Dayton and Xavier are on a down year

Agreed. You have butler, vcu, St. Louis, lasalle, Xavier, temple, st Joseph. St Bonny, Charlotte, umass. Just a very good quality teams

Biggest problem is Akron will have to beat OU in the MAC championship. If they don't win that game, no tourney for them
