College Basketball Random Chatter 2012-2013 Season
-
reclegend22Seth Davis often has no idea what he is talking about. He is rarely correct about anything that has to do with basketball. I do like listening to him, though. He always has an interesting take.
If Lunardi is giving them consideration, though, then I'd be inclined to believe him. He's usually money.
Creighton has just been awful in certain games this season. The Blue Jays won't be long for the tournament. And after last year's second round run, they are going kill a lot of brackets this year, I have a feeling. -

Oh I don't necessarily disagree they get in. However, I just don't see the MVC getting 3 bids this year. Not with the strength of the MWC and A-10. Could be wrong, but 1 of those 3 gets left out. After tonight, it may very well be Creighton on the outside...Laley23;1383920 wrote:Not that experts are the end all. But Seth Davis had them playing there way in 2 days ago, before this Creighton win. -
Laley23lol on Seth Davis. I agree. I love his take, though.
I could see the MVC getting 3 though. Pac-10 wont get a lot. BE wont get a lot (relatively speaking compared to recent years). B1G, as good as it is, looks like a 6 bid league. ACC/SEC/Big 12 arent lighting the world on fire. Mid-Majors will have greta claims compared to other Major bubble teams, imo. -

This made my day. I'll give you that Carolina is certainly down this season, but do you really think ACC schools don't get "up" for them like they do for Duke? Trust me, I'm aware of the target on Duke's back everywhere they go, but I think you're slighting Carolina a little here.reclegend22;1383889 wrote: Unfortunately, Miami will not be as amped for a mediocre UNC team as they were to pounce on Duke. Duke, it seems, is the benchmark game each year for every single team in the ACC. It is terrible and terrifying as a fan to watch your team walk into every arena it plays in with that in the back of your mind.
That's life at Duke. -
Azubuike24I think the SEC, Big XII, Pac 12 all get 4. The ACC may get 4 or 5. I think the Big East gets 8 actually, and IMO, they don't deserve that many.
A-10, MWC could both get 4+. WCC could get 3. It should be interesting.
UCF beats Southern Miss. If Memphis beats USM Saturday, I can't see them relinquishing the conference crown as they would get USM again at home.
Baylor came back from double digits to now lead Oklahoma State in OT. That's a big comeback and they are going for a sweep over OSU.
Minnesota better watch it, now 5-5 in league, and could possibly lose 3 or 4 of their next 5.
Temple beats Charlotte 89-88, big win for the Owls.
Cincinnati loses to Providence...WTF. -
SportsAndLadyI'm actually a big fan of Seth Davis..didn't realize I was the only one haha
-
SportsAndLadyAnd one of Oklahoma or Baylor will get in from the Big 12..they'll get 5 in the big dance
-
SportsAndLadyOh and Kansas has 2 pts with 10 min left in the first half..against TCU
Correction: Big 12 will get 4 in. KU out after this game -

Its even worse that TCU only has 10 points lol. Glad I'm not watching that game haha.SportsAndLady;1383972 wrote:Oh and Kansas has 2 pts with 10 min left in the first half..against TCU

Azubuike24Not sure about OU. Who else have they beaten besides OSU and Baylor, who will both be 6-seeds or lower if they get in? They have some decent losses...Gonzaga, Arkansas, Kansas, K-State (twice), Iowa State.
If they somehow knock off KU at home, maybe, but assuming they lose that, they probably have to win at least 2 of their final 3 "big games" at OSU, vs ISU and vs Baylor. -

I actually turned on Shark Tank. Can't watch that shit. That and my roommates don't want to watch Kansas normally let alone this game.Iliketurtles;1383974 wrote:Its even worse that TCU only has 10 points lol. Glad I'm not watching that game haha. -
Azubuike24Haha.
Oklahoma State came back and won.
Baylor's resume looks even worse... -
killer_ewok10-2 with 6:51 left in the 1st half???
Awful. -
reclegend22Kansas with 2 points. Six minutes to go in the half. They have a chance to break Northern Illinois' record. Who woulda thought that? Cray
-
Ironman92ironman02;1383872 wrote:LOL. Not a chance. It would be HUGE for the Heels if they did win, but I just don't see it. At least they got to 16-6, 6-3 ACC before the next two games.
Miami is completely beyond due for a loss. No one is dominant and everyone is losing some...they are due, UNC is playing better and Miami is just due to shoot like shit.
UNC 70
Miami 64 -
wildcats20What the hell is going on?
-
reclegend22They have tied Northern Illinois. I fully expect KU to wake up and win this game.

No I really like him. But sometimes he has the Dickie V syndrome. If you took what he said, we would have 87 teams in the tourney!SportsAndLady;1383968 wrote:I'm actually a big fan of Seth Davis..didn't realize I was the only one haha
But when March rolls around and we have a clearer view, he usually starts to crack down on who he thinks is NCAA worthy. -
reclegend22Then again, TCU is raining threes. Is that Lee Nailon out there?
-
Laley23I cant believe I turned off Kansas to watch WISCONSIN!!!!
Maybe Ill just go to bed. -

Lol. Hey, I don't wanna have to do another monologue on Bo Ryan, but I will if I have to.Laley23;1383991 wrote:I cant believe I turned off Kansas to watch WISCONSIN!!!!

I really do believe that me and Paul Wayne are the only two people who like watching Wisconsin play. Maybe Lee Brubaker. Lol. -
sportswizuhrdI predict a blow-out either way and this kid will enter the game for TCU.
Yep. Aaron Durley, who was a side-show circus act at the Little League World Series about 7 years ago. He is a freshman barely gets to play and originally signed with Marquette but they took away his scholarship over the summer. -
Azubuike24TCU looks terrible (and are terrible) to the point that they might only be up 2 possessions at half. If you knew KU might score 15 or less in a half, you gotta be up at least 15+.

Look, I "appreciate" what Wisconsin and Bo Ryan do. But I cant STAND to watch it. It gives me a headache.reclegend22;1383992 wrote:Lol. Hey, I don't wanna have to do another monologue on Bo Ryan, but I will if I have to.

I was at the 2000 Final Four when MSU and Wisconsin played. I actually had to have my father go around the arena looking for Advil my headache was so bad. I took it between games (when he returned) and I was energetic during UNC/Florida. I highly doubt the Advil did anything. They fun teams running up and down playing exciting basketball was my medicine. For that, I will always hate Wisconsin. That and I get headaches till this day lol.
Ok, no more about Bo. -
reclegend22Kansas sets the all-time Big XII record for fewest points in a half. Yikes.
