Conference Tournament Discussion Thread

Azubuike24Terrence Jones was the x-factor in that game. There has been a feeling all week that UK wishes they could just skip this Tournament. He provided a spark.
Walker and Boynton can't do anything against UK, too small. They only attempted 19 shots combined, in a normal game at this pace that would be like 30+. -
MulvaLamar wins the Southland. The worst group of seniors ever are going dancing.

Took me a sec to figure out what you meant. Then it hit me. Nice one! -

Either that speech lit a fire underneath them or he's just an idiotMulva;1111607 wrote:Lamar wins the Southland. The worst group of seniors ever are going dancing. -
MulvaX beats St. Louis. They're probably a lock at this point. They play St. Bonaventure in the A-10 title game tomorrow. Andrew Nicholson is a beast, but probably a game Xavier should win.

Ironman92UC with 6 points in the first 12:30 of the BECG
-
Azubuike24First team to 50 wins. Typical Big East Tournament circa 2012. Although you had to know this going in with a Cincinnati/Louisville final...
-
chicago51014 in the first half for UC?
-
Azubuike24That game just set basketball back a long time.
How awful is UC? Really. This was NOT a good year for the Big East. I honestly can't see either of those teams getting past the first weekend... -
daveYeah UC is horrible, all they've done is beat Louisville, GTown, Marquette, and Cuse in the last couple weeks. They only play 6 guys, they were out of gas tonight.

Sure doesn't say much about the SEC either seeing that the Big East is better overall. -

Im not even sure this is true this year.centralbucksfan;1112136 wrote:Sure doesn't say much about the SEC either seeing that the Big East is better overall.
UK and Syracuse
Vandy and Marquette
Florida and Geortegown
Those could go either way.
Big East, as always, is deeper. But in terms of % I dont know. Especially since the Big East is SOOOOOO unbalanced. USF finished 4th and didnt play a single good team on the road. -
Azubuike24
I wouldn't be surprised to see the SEC last longer than the Big East, despite getting half the teams in. And we're excluding UK and Cuse here.centralbucksfan;1112136 wrote:Sure doesn't say much about the SEC either seeing that the Big East is better overall.
Can you honestly have watched UC and UL and not question whether those teams could win more than 1 or 2 NCAA games? That's the first Big East final in forever where I can say that... -
killer_ewokUNC getting hammered by FSU. Wow.
-
Fly4FunAny chance another big loss to FSU could knock UNC out of a 1 seed?
-
wes_mantoothThis Kentucky team has the typical M.O. of any Calipari coached team.....being the most talented, but not winning it all.
-
davecongrats to the Bonnies, love seeing teams play their way in.
-
gorocks99How bout them upsets
-
redstreak oneUK and UNC both go down in their conference championship. This wont hurt UK, but will it hurt UNC, it will help Florida St.
-
Ironman92UK and UNC went down about 40 seconds apart

won't hurt UK seedwise, but psychologically, losing never helps a young team--especially moving forwardredstreak one;1112406 wrote:UK and UNC both go down in their conference championship. This wont hurt UK, but will it hurt UNC, it will help Florida St. -
chicago510FSU is a 3 seed IMO. Their resume is impressive.
Vandy might be a 4-5. -
september63The Bonnies win just knocked someone off the bubble. I'd say SH is now out!
-
ichsnjbHow did Vanderbilt beat Kentucky?
-
IliketurtlesGotta love March Madness. Awesome to see the Bonnies get in.
