Conference Tournament Discussion Thread

Azubuike24South Florida might blow a 16-point lead AND lose a game of "first team to 45" wins.
Tough to do...zzzzzzzzzzzzzz. -
chicago510No way Nova gets to 45. Zzzzzz.

reclegend22Agreed with those who want to see Lillard in the Dance. Watching this kid play I can't help but think of Harold "The Show" Arcenaux, who dropped a sensational 36 on North Carolina as tiny 14-seeded Weber State danced its way on to the second round in the 1999 NCAA Tournament.
Unfortunately, it appears as if Duke's sister school is about to go home. Montana has just answered too many times with long threes. -

After tonight's loss I don't see them in either.Azubuike24;1108616 wrote:And no, Seton Hall is not going to dance IMO. It just opened up for USF tonight...and they get the 14th seed. Wouldn't be surprised to see Nova win. -
reclegend22I know this game has been completely worthless (wasn't "worthless" banned on the Huddle?), but Jay Bilas has just been brutal in his commentary tonight. He basically called the Nova player who committed a charge a few plays ago everything but mentally-retarded.
I can't remember a broadcaster being so abrasive during the course of an entire game. He's funny, though. And can't say I blame him. -

That's why he's one of my favorite announcers--I can't stand the talking heads who can't, or won't, be candid during the course of a game.reclegend22;1108702 wrote:I know this game has been completely worthless (wasn't "worthless" banned on the Huddle?), but Jay Bilas has just been brutal in his commentary tonight. SportsAndLadyCuse/UCONN has been pretty good so far

SportsAndLadyThese Baylor uni's gotta go lol

SportsAndLadyPerry Jones III w/ 15 already

SportsAndLadyIt's actually kind of impessive that UCONN's coaches somehow let them lose 12 games this year.

Yeah. They're shooting 35 percent and Napier's 3-12. And they're up six on Syracuse with 12 to play.SportsAndLady;1109015 wrote:It's actually kind of impessive that UCONN's coaches somehow let them lose 12 games this year.
EDIT: And 3-7 from the line. If they're good enough to lead the #2 team in the country under those circumstances, how the fuck do they have 12 losses? -
lhslep134Jay Bilas is my favorite person in sports. He's a lawyer, witty, personable, extremely knowledgable, and speaks his mind. Not to mention his funny twitter account.

Like I said with uconn it's all about effort. There's no doubt there one of the most talented teams in the country but they lack leadership and effort -

1-2 without Boatright and then 7-7 (all in BE play) without Calhoun and like Crimson said, a mix no leadership and effort will do that.Heretic;1109033 wrote:Yeah. They're shooting 35 percent and Napier's 3-12. And they're up six on Syracuse with 12 to play.

8-9 when they are not with their head coach or 3rd leading scorer. -

Point taken but the flipside is Syracuse's two Seniors, Jardine and Joseph (arguably their best player), were atrocious from the field all game and yet they still had enough guys who stepped up and won them the game. Waiters and Southerland aren't even starters and they were huge for the Orange today. -
NilesPacManDOUBLE OT!
-
gorocks99Cincy and G'town off to double OT in MSG
-
HereticAnd knotted up with one minute in the second. Could this be this year's 6OT thriller?
-
Crimson streakTriple ot?
-
NilesPacManNot enough urgency in Georgetown's execution. Took too long to get up the court and settled for a meh shot.
-
gorocks99Top seed Washington in a fight out in the Pac 12 tourney. Up 1 with ~40 seconds to go. They lose and that could be a 3-bid league instead of the 2 bids a lot of people expect.
-
gorocks99Wow, Tony Wroten choke job. Misses two FTs, Oregon State up 1 and headed to the line.
And then of course they miss both FTs. Pac12 ... it's faaaantastic -
gorocks99And down goes Washington. That might happen when you go 12/27 from the line. Someone else will get the autobid out west.
-
chicago510Is Washington even in? I know zero about the Pac12 that conference is terrible.

SportsAndLadyWashington is done
