Conference Tournament Discussion Thread

I guess yeah, they probably are done. Just looked at their RPI and it's sucky 57. So, basically ... might be a one-bid league if Cal or Oregon get bounced tonight. If they both win, probably an outside shot for two bids but they have to play each other in the semis.

CUSA... Tulsa and Marshall in 2OT on CBSCS right now
  • Azubuike24
A shame UW is done. Talented and fun to watch, but just miserable outside of Seattle.

    Make that 3OT

Northwestern going to OT with their tournament life on the line.

2 of the worst calls I have seen in awhile.

Dude from Louisville gets a foul for a perfectly clean rebound and then puts the ball on the ground and gets T'd up.
  • SportsAndLady
    Bye bye NW
  • chicago510
Some dude (Kane) for Marshall had 40 in the W. 105-100 in 3OT

Northwestern is not going to come back to round 1 of the B1G tournament as "the killer" if the selection committee says no to them.

They'll come back to the 1-10 record against the top 50. Seriously, how do you even consider putting that in?

CS Fullerton got upset in the Big West. Long Beach St should cruise to the auto bid (knock on wood, because I'd really like to see them get in).

Glad that NW lost. NOT an NCAA Tournament team.

Somewhat agree. But if va tech could get in last year. Nw should..
  • Mulva
But Va Tech didn't get in last year?
  • Midstate01
Wasn't it last year va tech got in??
  • Midstate01
Nope you're right. They didn't last year. Good call. Then I agree, no Nw.

    My fault.

Northwestern started 10-1, finished 8-13, went 8-11 in the B1G, overall 18-14. Their win over Seton Hall is also diminished as the Hall faded fast, and is also going to miss. So, NW had ZERO OOC wins over NCAA teams (barring Miss. Valley State winning the SWAC).

    Their B1G wins...

    Penn State (non-NCAA)
    Michigan State
    Nebraska (non-NCAA)
    Illinois (non-NCAA)
    Iowa (non-NCAA)
    Minnesota (non-NCAA)
    Penn State (non-NCAA)
    Iowa (non-NCAA)

Literally, ONE win against an NCAA team. How on freaking earth were they even being considered? The novelty of never making an NCAA Tournament HAD to factor into it.

I can find 3-5 teams who aren't even being mentioned who have better resumes. It's shocking.

Nevada (13-1 in the WAC) trails San Jose State (1-13), 28-21 with 14:22 left. In the game. It was 14-13 at halftime.

UT Arlington (15-1 in the Southland) is down double-digits in the first half.

Joey Brackets has them as one of the last 4 in(with Texas who is still playing, Drexel and Seton Hall).

I just did a (high school) game where the score at half was 12-11. It was 9-9 after the 1st Q. 3-2 in the 2nd Q. It was better than what the Pac-12, Toledo-Ohio, and Nevada-San Jose St have produced tonight.
  • Mulva
Nevada came back to win by 10. Miami is all over Ga Tech in the 2nd half. They live to fight another day. Cal survives Stanford. They're probably safe at this point.

Huge finishes coming up for South Florida, Texas, and Mississippi State in 3 close games.

USF catches break as he was out of bounds and the hit a 2. Now the lead is 3.

Texas knocks off Iowa St. They should be in now for sure.

My high school(SE Ohio) just scored 8 points two weeks ago in their 1st round OHSAA tourny game. Leading scorer had 2. They lost 59-8. Be glad you werent calling that. I couldn't help but laugh when I saw the Nevada/SJSU halftime score.
  • Tiger2003
Wow this ending is crazy. Gotta love March!
  • Tiger2003
USF is pissing down their leg.
